*this is not the dress*
Such a surreal experience trying on wedding dresses. This is when it hit me... “I’m actually getting married in a few months”. It was a fun time having the whole place to ourselves @grace_loves_lace to try on different dresses, drink champagne, and chat. @aznphannie
Anyone have fun stories about their wedding dress purchase?
🎉🎇🎊 What a year it was!!!🎉🎆🎉
Looking back, 2018 was filled with so much adventure, love, laughter, and some seriously beautiful places! This wasn’t a year of new international destinations, as much as it was about going back to all of my favorite places and getting to spend more time there! From seeing the tulips in Amsterdam which i has been dreaming of for years, to returning to Kenya and seeing my host family, it was an amazing international travel year! I also saw more of America this year than ever before! I was so lucky to have spent several weeks in California, Arizona, and Oregon this year, and got to visit places for the very first time like New Orleans and the Grand Canyon!
But not only were a lot of bucket places checked off the list, so many life changes happened too! From job promotions and settling into NYC living, to Arda finally getting his green card and moving to NYC with me!!❤️❤️❤️ ..
.. Today we re-watched our travel videos and searched through our external hard drive to remind ourselves of just how magical 2018 was! Now, it’s my favorite time of year... the time where we get to start planning our next adventures!! ..
Here are the locations of the photos:
1. Rooftop dancing in Kas, Turkey
2. Started 2018 by chopping off my hair in Antalya, Turkey
3. The tulip fields of Lisse, Netherlands
4. Road tripping in Germany and chasing castles at Burg Eltz
5. Masai Mara, Kenya and Showing my dad all of my favorite places in Kenya and introducing him to all my friends and host family there
6. A work trip that my brother joined me on in Boston, Massachusetts
7. Becoming a New Yorker at my favorite building, Flatiron, NYC
8. My first beignet in New Orleans, Louisiana
9. The stunning Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona
10. Enjoying every second of Santa Monica Beach in L.A., California!

All smiles this New Years Eve 🎉
This year has been very good to me and I am so thankful to be surrounded by the most amazing people. Although it had some downs like any other; this year had brought me so many happy and exciting moments that my heart is so full. I cannot wait to see where 2019 takes me (literally ✈️) and to make more incredible memories.
So here is to an amazing 2018 and an even better 2019. Hope you all have a wonderful year ♥️ Cheers!
Happy New Year! It seems like it has flown by. In 2018, I decided to turn my instagram into a blog to be better about documenting my travels and share outfit inspiration and be inspired by other people. Personally, it’s been a year of ups and downs but grateful for all the experiences I’ve had and the things I’ve learned. Looking forward to 2019 and making my resolutions into reality

DECEMBER: coming after my goals in 2019 like.... “pew pew... bullseye!” December was spent much like any other. Working and spending the holidays with loved ones. I showed my husband my favorite spot to view my favorite city skyline: Atlanta 💗
It’s been an epic year, for sure! So much learning, expanding, creating, coming into my own. With every year that passes, I hope to know better, do better, grow mentally and emotionally.
I’m still working on putting to paper all my goals for the new year and putting together all of my travel plans.
What are your goals and plans for the coming year?
2018: I could write the generic “this year has been so crazy!” without being heartfelt and vulnerable, or even remotely encompassing how insane this year has been in terms of emotion and experience. I traveled almost every month. I climbed harder and with more heart than I ever have. I met my best friend in person after 6 years and got to watch her marry the love of her life. I figured out the things I really want out of life, and ditched the last remaining pieces of fear to drift from a set path. I started the year with a huge concussion and finished it with a wrist fracture and torn ACL and MCL. I had my heart broken to pieces. Twice. I fought for things I never knew how much I needed. I loved in fierce and incredible ways I didn’t know were possible. I left behind unhealthy ideals that I enforced upon myself. I reignited the fire and passion I have for everything I do, and put that to work in amazing ways. But I also hit some of the roughest mental health patches and was forced to come face to face with the lonely corners of my own mind. I’m proud to say I didn’t give up. I got myself the help I needed. I found out how much of a community I do have here and how many people care. I reached out. I let myself be vulnerable and I think that’s the biggest lesson in faith and confidence I’ve had in years. I know it sounds cliche but I’ve grown in so many unexpected ways this year, in love, in strength, and in faith. I’ve always considered myself to be someone who knows themselves incredibly well, and 2018 turned that notion on its head. I’m a completely different woman than I started the year as, with more spunk and curiosity and openness than I’ve ever had. 2018 loved me and broke me at the same time. This has been one of the longest and most interesting years of my life, and while I’m ready for it to be over, I’m so blessed for the lessons it’s given me. Catch you guys in 2019. .

2018 was the best year of my life. Here's the literal high point (I didn't summit Whitney due to altitude sickness 🤒). Metaphorical high points included bagging the top experience on my bucket list... multiple times, traveling to a continent I'd never been before, taking a quick jaunt 2650 miles across the country, finally growing a decently-sized butt, expanding my mind and meeting some of the most incredible humans, and feeling like I've got a handle on understanding my purpose here on this immeasurably beautiful, chaotic spacerock.
2017's mantra: "Do better, be better"
2018's: "Time to kick some ass" (I wrote this in my entry at the PCT Southern Terminus lol)
2019's: ?? will come up with something soon, suggestions welcome
What was the high point of your year?

Chase and I had a pretty epic year, so I thought I’d share some of the highlights!
1. Started our year off in Disneyland (where else)
2. We watched the northern lights
3. My sis got married 🤗💕
4. I swam with humpbacks (still hard to believe)
5. Chase and I toured New England with my parents
6. We went to DC for chases award (🥰)
7,8,9. We went to Kenya (!!!) 10. Finally, we went to Strasbourg!
This year has been the fullest yet, and 2019 is going to be even crazier 😅

My top 9 to welcome 2019 in, I can’t wait to see what adventures this year brings. 🦋💕
New year, new beginnings. Wishing I was starting 2019 in this spot, but Vancouver will have to do. Well, wiping out in the sand hurts a lot more than in the snow 🏂
Looking back on 2018, it has been nothing short of a whirlwind! To keep it short, I've done more this year than any year before it. It's been exhilarating and exhausting, but I wouldn't trade it for anything!! I'm ready to see what 2019 has in store and I have a feeling it's going to be a good year! Happy New Year's Eve and bring on the new experiences, challenges, and memories!!
“For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning." -T.S. Eliot, Little Gidding
Happy New Years Eve to you and yours! Thank you for following my 2018. 2018 reflections to come in a 2019 blog post. For now, we are celebrating what is left of this year. Much love ❤️ #kamswheelstravel#wheelchairtravel

It’s NYE and @breakfastatkimberlys and I are making a trip to Europe next year! Where should we go????? 🎉
It’s almost the New Year here in the States. While 2018 was not the most exciting year, it is leading up to what might be one of the most exciting years of my life. I am certainly excited for this next chapter to begin, yet I am grateful to have lived in such a beautiful, life changing place for the last 4 years of my life. This is the place that I grew, where I got to know myself, and where I have changed. I am happy to have lived here, though it has posed its own set of challenges. I can say that this is the place I started to become who I am today because I think in a lot of ways, this place has shaped my future and made my dreams more accessible. —
While I am leaving here in about 2 weeks for an undetermined amount of time, I know that I will miss it dearly. This is where my dreams stopped being dreams and started becoming plans. Now, I can live out those plans in 2019. —
Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! 🎉
2018 was a very bittersweet year for me. I handed in my dissertation, graduated from university with a First Class Honours degree, spent the best two months of my life in Fiji and moved to Macau. 😁
But I also lost my Gran: my favourite person to people watch with. 2019 will be my first full year without my beautiful, wonderful grandma. As much as I know it will be an amazing year, I know it would be even better having her here with me.
And what a tumultuous year it has been! With ups and downs and curves in every direction possible, I will still remember 2018 as the year of firsts! My first-ever concert seeing Ed Sheeran live in Stockholm (and yes I have never been to a concert before... ever.... never ... ever), my first ever scientific paper published (I had publications before but this one was MY baby that I worked on for 3 or more years) and of course, the highlight of 2018, my first ever solo road trip to Lofoten. Nothing I have ever done can equal the exhilaration and liberation of jumping in your car, being on your own and driving to a destination you have always dreamed of. Driving more than 11 hours one way, crossing the solemn landscape of Sweden into the uninhibited, unbelievably astounding valley of the fjords in Norway, this road trip of 10 days will last a lifetime in my memories. There are times where I credit this venture to me coming to terms with turning the big 3 0 which also happened this year. But let’s just talk about the ups, shall we? Travelling to Dalmatian region in Croatia with people I have grown to love and acknowledge as family more than friends and venturing into Mostar in Bosnia was another important milestone in the year 2018.
All I can say is that I am grateful for what has been and all I can do now is practice being more grateful for what is to come. Here is to a 🌟Happy New Year 🌟
Oh 2018! You’ve been a year of ups and downs. I’m grateful for all the good experiences and I know that I’ve learnt from the bad. Most importantly, I want to thank all of you guys for the love you’ve given me this year. I really appreciate every single like, comment and lovely message 😊 So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. There’s lots to come in 2019! Stay tuned. Happy New Year 🎉
PS: This is me soaking up the sun in Matera, Italy. We almost didn’t make it there because the train wasn’t running. I’m glad we found a way in the end because the town was absolutely beautiful! Such a great way to end my Italy trip.
PPS: How on earth was I ever this tanned?? 😂
Started off the year with one job, ended two more later. Began it as a single lady, then an engaged one, then MARRIED!! #singleladynomore
Started it in America, ended it in Germany. Plus four more countries (France, Netherlands, Spain, Luxembourg) crossed off the list.
Started it as a server, ended it with my first big girl job (in Germany!!) who would have thought?! I started a blog that was successful to my standards, started a family and gained one, too. Made some friends, and lost some. I learned more about myself and my limitations. I learned that I need human interaction more than I thought I did and I realized that companionship is important. However, taking care of yourself is still #1 .
I learned that my husband, family and friends are incredible. Whenever I need them, they were there for me. They were there especially when I didn’t know I needed them.
I embraced my love of food. ( #yagirlcaneat ) Queue the escargot!! #Paris , hello?! Tapas in Mallorca, stroopwafel in the Netherlands.
Water skiing in Mallorca, swimming in Tropea, walking past the Eiffel Tower, touring Burg Eltz, exploring Zürich, eating my way through Deutschland - wow, I have had an amazing year.
I am hopeful that 2019 will bring me and my loved ones more good fortune. My goal is not to be a “new me” in the new year, but a “better me.” A Robyn that is present, aware, loving, caring, and embracive of every situation I am given. I hope to explore more of this side of the world. I hope to be a better wife, daughter, sister, friend.
I wish you + your loved ones a happy new year. May all of your resolutions + goals come to fruition.
Until next year,
Robyn 🎉💙 •
2018 has been a seriously fun ride. The highlight was me quitting my 9-5 job in San Diego and following my dream of traveling the world. This decision shook my whole universe upside down and I’m still trying to find my place in this new world. It hasn’t always been easy and as we all know not as picture perfect as IG wants us to think but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’m learning and growing every day, had so many fun adventures, met some amazing people and I couldn’t be more excited for 2019.
Wishing everyone Happy New Year 🥳 🎊
A few years ago, @mrcluckfarms and I scrambled together a random dinner made from penne pasta, vegan hot dogs, corn, zucchini, yellow squash and probably a ton of butter and chili flakes and we made it all over a campfire the night before we day hiked Half Dome. It wasn’t particularly the best thing Hayden has ever cooked (he cooks pretty dam well 😋), but it was still one of my favorite dinners. There’s not much that’s better than sitting around a campfire, under the stars, cooking whatever feels right at the moment because you’re too hungry from your hike to really care, and sharing laughs and stories with old friends, new friends and even campsite neighbors. In the backcountry, we can’t always have campfires, but the same goes for our iso propane stoves! It’s my favorite part of camping. Coming together at the end of the day and sharing laughs and good vibes with the community around you. That’s why I called my blog Campsite Vibes. 🏕🌄✨
