MINUTES after I was bragging to @brandonmacmullin about how great my knee feels, something snapped, crackled and popped in there while I was just walking. The pain was sharp, but it was brief, so I went on with my day up and down Smuts only to have it happen two more times. The next day stairs were my greatest nemesis again 😧 I've given it more than a week of rest and if feels much better so I'm planning to hobble up a near 11 000er tomorrow. It will either feel great or confirm that it's time for another durolane injection to grease the joints 😅 Honestly, I feel 70 years old just writing that, but at least this time I know the drill and I'm not freaking out that I might never climb again. It'll just be a week of Netflix & Chill-my-swollen-knee, so I might be asking for your recommendations soon. Just no soapy teen rom coms pls 🙄 #barf September 7, 2019 📷@brandonmacmullin
Last year on this day, I began my caption like this: "I've always hated my birthday because it serves as an annual reminder that I have a little less life to do what I love". This year, all that anxiety has evaporated and I finally feel like I'm spending my time wisely - destroying my body on every alpine climb I can get my hands on. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Yesterday got downgraded to a scramble because of the forecast but I'm leaving my birthday dinner with the fam early tonight for another sleep in my car and a 2am start, and I wouldn't have it any other way. PS. Swipe to see my best "LOOK MA, NO FEET!" 😀 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Just casually having a poo whilst the sun sets so beautifully, if that isn’t a bucket list tick then I don’t know what is!! 😆💩 #bucketlist

Alpine paradise 🌲🍂⛰ So lucky to explore our home away from home this week

It was a Sunday morning in August when we picked up a small gang of teenage girls who didn’t know each other from a Whole Foods parking lot in West Vancouver and drove them 8 hours into BC’s interior and then helicoptered them into a spectacular and mega remote alpine lodge to spend a week learning to love the crap outta themselves and each other.
What happened over the course of that week was nothing short of remarkable. And it’s taken us 7 weeks to process it and write it all down in our blog to share.
This pack of young lions amazed us and each other and themselves with their vulnerability and their resilience and their candour and their inner and outer strength and their uniqueness and their curiosity and their wisdom.
This is the story of seven girls rising.
Check it out on our blog (link in bio). We are forever changed by this experience. We are eternally grateful for the humans beings and corporations who stepped up to help us bring it to life. And we are deeply proud of Char, Jade, Jenna, Jess, Ruby, Sophie, and Sky who amazed us in every possible way. #girlsaregonnarise

Trail runners know - dodging roots beats traffic lights any day. Take it off the beaten path, with shoes and apparel designed for crunching leaves and crushing PBs!
Behind the photo: MEC Ambassador @jujumil bringing all those #goodtimesoutside vibes with every stride in North Vancouver.
Opeongo is that size of lake where you can sit all afternoon and watch the clouds conspire at the other end and by the time they’ve reached you, they’ve changed their mind.

June - chances you will be walking in snow;
July and August - great weather but crowded;
September - can be rainy, definitely less crowded, refugios close down later the month. We hiked Alta Via 1 beginning Aug 25 into September, the entire region was Sun and clouds, and sometimes showers around 3pm.
Newfoundland sunsets 👍
Despite being a little chilly, NFL has been all we wanted: low key, sparsely populated, incredible sunsets and stunning coastlines. We've also had the chance to meet awesome like minded travelers - road trippers and lots of others that have quit their jobs to explore!
