Verde e Amarelo
💚💛💚💛💚💛 The Brazilian flag today comes from the old imperial flag, where the green stood for the House of Braganza of Pedro I, who served as Brazil's first Emperor and the yellow (gold) was the color of the house of Habsburg which was the house of the Emperor's wife ~~ The current flag was officially adopted in 1889, the green is symbolic for our lush forests and fields, The yellow is Brazil's wealth in gold and the 🔵 center is one of the most complicated national flags ever. It has the same pattern as the night sky over Brazil with each of the 27 stars representing a state and the Federal District. The white band with the words "Order and Progress" is the equatorial band. When you look closer you see that only one star is located in the northern part, being the state of Pará.
What does your country flag means? I love to learn this in every country I go to! 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Ps: help me out in the poll in my stories 😁
Happy Sunday! 🍏💛 I've had a mild case of Instagram-absence as I've been unexpectedly swamped with bunting commissions 😍 (my favourite kind of busy). How fun is this green and yellow combo? These sets will be up at a special baby shower this week, and then available to hire! Perfect for a happy and bright gender-neutral theme 👶 🧸

We finally have mood lighting over our dining table.
The table is below a sloped, vaulted ceiling, hence difficult to hang a pendant light with a ceiling rose.
I converted the popular #ikea#sinnerlig into a plug-in, adding a fabulous #creativecablesuk green knitted cable and plug.
To minimise the shadow caste by the many holes in the shade, I added a small palm leaf lamp shade inside.
Then hubby hung the cable from a hook in the ceiling for me. Ceiling hook and cable grips also from creative cables. #ikeahack #tretchikoff #ikeasinnerlig #diningroomlighting #greenandyellow
