I feel like I haven’t been putting out very informational posts lately, more so just workouts and motivation. so lemme get all nerdy on you guys for a minute 🤓📚✏️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⭐️Slow-twitch muscle fibers (Type I) generate less power and strength than fast-twitch fibers, but they have can sustain activity for longer. (Like long distance running & swimming.) The cells within these muscles use oxygen as fuel and within the muscles, there are a large amount of capillaries, which helps bring blood to the muscles.

⭐️Fast-twitch muscle fibers (Type II) generate far more power and strength, but they fatigue much faster and require more time for recovery. (Like squatting, benching & deadlifting) There are also two types of fast-twitch fibers: Type IIa & Type IIb. Type IIa provides more endurance but produces less strength; Type IIb provides the most strength, but produces less endurance.

⭐️If the activity you’re doing is light, your body will mainly stimulate type I muscle fibers. When it becomes too intense it will “call in” the  type IIa muscle fibers. For the highest intensity, it will “call in” the type IIb fibers. Your body always activates its muscle fibers in this fashion.

You have to want it enough to work past the discomfort. You have to want it enough to push past the pain. You have to have a vision, and you HAVE to focus through the distractions. 
Circumstances are temporary. Bad times are temporary. Shoot, even those big wins... those are incredible but we can’t live off just one or two- excellence is a habit and everyday we have to get up and go after it because someone else is always gunning for the top spot. Stay hungry y’all!

Hit 560 for 3 on squats for a 3 rep PR!! (254.5kgs)
And hit 595 (270kgs) on the deadlifts following that squat PR.

A lot of people don’t do heavy squats and deadlifts on the same day unless it’s competition but I’ve been doing it to build my stamina and endurance so when it comes competition time it’s all gonna be a breeze. Gettin stronger every week and it’s feeling great 💪🏽 Gotta thank the squad for the hype this week @heckthor909 @the_jimmy_neutron @_aguilar626

  • That girl on the left was unhappy, negative, miserable. I ate horrible every day would drink during the week and almost every weekend. Didn’t take care of my health. Exhausted every day and was lazy. I felt bad and told myself it was time to make a change • 
The girl on the right is happy, positive, and takes care of her body. I eat to fuel my body and workout 4-5 times a week. I love health and wellness and how your body can change over time

This took several months. There is no quick fix in losing weight. It takes time and patience.

  • Life has worked to keep me out of the gym lately.  Today is my first day back in over two months.  I'm treating it like almost a total reset.  I have some simple goals for the next few weeks. 
1. Quality over amount of weight
2. Form, form, form
3. Have fun 
4. Build a solid foundation
5. Don't try to be Superman.  Just don't! ☺️😃☺️ #gymlife #grinditout #sweatsession
