thank you SOO much to everyone who purchased things in our most recent shop update! it was such a successss I believe we’re going to be restocking some things either tonight or tomorrow~ that way we don’t have a totally empty shop for the whole 3 weeks we’re away😋💜 .

Making contact between your bare skin and the earth allows a flow of electrons (negative ions) to pass from the earth to your body. These electrons are a type of electrical nutrition that has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits as well as reducing stress levels and pain. ⠀

This is a natural mechanism that allows living things to maintain the correct charge. When we build up a positive charge in our bodies we experience inflammation. When we gather electrons from the earth, we reduce our charge. ⠀

Como psicóloga forense, estoy acostumbrada a la ciencia más dura y basada en la evidencia y he tenido  dificultades para creer por ejemplo en el mindfulness. Pero cuando pasamos por tiempos difíciles uno prueba todo lo que te haga sentir mejor y es así que probé este mecanismo que sí tiene evidencia científica y me ha ayudado a liberar tensión.
.
✅ Se trata de una práctica milenaria, particularmente en culturas orientales, que te da fuerza interior y paz mental con la sensación de liberar tensión. ❓ Por qué ❓.
✅ Según la investigación, el organismo es un conductor de electricidad, en términos simples, el cuerpo está cargado positivamente (+) y la tierra, negativamente (-). Entonces cuando la piel desnuda toca tierra, el cuerpo descarga la energía electrostática que se acumula y absorbe los iones cargados negativamente que están en el suelo, equilibrando así el exceso de iones positivos.
✅ Cuando el cuerpo está demasiado cargado positivamente (+), es decir cuando no “hace tierra” las células tienden a atraerse entre sí y agruparse lo que en el cuerpo se traduce en TENSIÓN. Por el contrario, cuando las células reciben carga negativa tienden a separarse, lo que se asocia con una mejor CIRCULACIÓN SANGUÍNEA.
✅ Esto último entonces da luces que el contacto de la piel con la tierra, tiene un importante efecto antioxidante.

  • Grounding. En af mine morgen rutiner. Altså nogle morgener; jeg har en stor værktøjskasse af sunde rutiner at tage af. 
Dengang jeg var frisk og rask, gav jeg ikke meget opmærksomhed til sunde rutiner eller tiltag. Bevares, jeg har altid spist rimelig sundt og fornuftigt og har holdt min krop stærk med div. træning. Man er vel gammel fitness træner. Men! Hjerte og sind var ikke rigtig været med i det, det var ofte på autopilot, uden tanke på det hele menneske. Måske en af grundene til, at jeg gik ned med stress og nogle år senere opdagede, at jeg i mange år har gået rundt med flere diskusprolapser. Tal om ikke at lytte til kroppen.

På sin vis er jeg taknemmelig for, at min kloge krop sagde stop. Forstå mig ret, jeg ville hellere end gerne være min ødelagt ryg foruden, men som helhed, har mit liv aldrig været bedre. Jeg - eller min ryg - har sat farten ned, jeg er meget selektiv med hvad jeg bruger energi og tid på og sætter mere pris på det, der får lov at fylde i mit liv.

Alt er som det skal være.

  • I have to remind myself of this daily! I have such an anxious personality that I need to be keeping busy and it’s hard for me to be okay with relaxing or taking time for myself or just being in the moment!

Try to be more mindful throughout your day, instead of thinking ahead to the future or even to what your doing 16 hours from now.. be in the moment that your in.

    Try to be more mindful throughout your day, instead of thinking ahead to the future or even to what your doing 16 hours from now.. be in the moment that your in.

  • ✨ MENTAL HEALTH & SELF CARE ✨

This is Thea and she helps me with my mental health 💙I have many tools, but she is the one I project and receive energy from the most. I keep plants around my apartment for both decorative and healing purposes.

With Thea, I say good morning to her every day and touch each and every one of her leaves while saying positive words and affirmations to her and at night I do the same thing when I come home by saying good evening and telling her she is looking beautiful and is doing such a great job. 
This exercise helps me check in with myself because she is my mirror. If she’s dry, I water her and pour a cup for myself. If she’s looking yellow I go with her to the terrace and soak up some sun, I give her words of encouragement and internalize them as well. If she starts to look droopy and neglected I ask myself what parts am I neglecting of me.

Plants pick up on the energy around them. I will never forget how my apartment in the states was full of plants and no matter how many times I adjusted their watering schedule, sun exposure, temperature, etc they slowly started dying off. Why? Because me and my partner were constantly arguing and filling our home with negative vibrations. So now, I try to keep my home as elevated as possible, so if my plants start showing some signs of depression or sadness I scan myself and address it. 
So I encourage you to give this exercise a try: 🍃 go to your nearest garden center and purchase a house plant of your liking (no cacti) and set it somewhere where you’ll see it everyday as you walk in/out, receives sunlight and ventilations. 🍃name it! Make it a thing, google meanings, perhaps give it your nickname. Something that will help form a bond between living things. 🍃 love it and love yourself ! Research how to care for your new baby as well as finding ways to care for yourself to incorporate into your every day life. 🍃lastly, on your day of self care while you’re chilling with a mud mask on, grab some baby (thank you @luadalai) or coconut oil and gently wipe the leaves with it using a soft rag or cotton ball/pad. 
And there you go 🤗 tag someone who you’d like to try this out !

  • 🍃 It's a beautiful sunny Saturday here in Michigan. ☀️ So refreshing after a long dreary winter. I have an itch to go plant and flower shopping and get my hands in the dirt. I find gardening so relaxing and grounding. What is your favorite way to relax?

Grounding opens the lower chakras and descends deep into the vehicle of the body. 
Without grounding we are unstable - we lose ability to contain, to have, or to hold. 
We wonder from the present moment - we feel powerless - we may even no longer want to be here. 
Here is a list of some easy and common grounding exercises: - stomping - Jumping up and down

- Jogging
- Riding
- Resting
- Massage
- Eating
- Sleeping
