  • Join us in giving generously as we come together on Saturday, May 11th at 10am for a donation based class benefitting the Hemophilia Foundation of Oregon. All proceeds go directly towards the fundraising goal for their 7th annual walk which takes place at Lewis & Clark College on June 1st. Every penny raised at this event is used to accomplish the foundation’s mission to find better treatments and cures for bleeding disorders and to prevent the complications of these disorders through education, awareness, advocacy and research.

  • We all have different ideas of what life and dream jobs look like, and sometimes it changes!⁣

For me, I wanted FREEDOM!🕊 Freedom to be a mom but also freedom to create my own income as a #momboss. Which is WAY different than I imagined pre-kids - I thought I would be a career woman for sure!⁣

But after becoming a mom, something changed inside of me and i wanted to be home with my babies. #changedmymind #itsnotforeveryone ⁣

I stumbled upon fitness and fell in love. It was something i could do for me, but still be present for my kids. 7 years teaching #groupfitness, training clients, a traveling husband, & 4 kids I was burnt out, mentally & physically, something had to change. ⁣
⁣
I needed a way to marry my fitness & my dream life together. It was the opportunity to take care of myself, be home with my family, travel to sweet destinations with my best friends & their families, with all the freedom, if I was willing to put in the work - it was up to me! ⁣

Happy Tuesday! 
Made a technique Tuesday clip today. 
Last night “The Row “ was incorporated into Bootcamp @burleys_gym . 
This move can be difficult for some ppl, because it requires you to have good posture. Now when you’re used to having bad posture or just not familiar with the exercise , it’s easy to not perform it correctly. 
And as we mentioned during Bootcamps , it’s sometimes difficult to get to each individual being Bootcamps can get rather large. 
So if you feel you need that one on one training. Please inform one of the trainers, we’re more than glad to help. 
In the first clip is what you want to avoid doing. 
My chest is low, shoulders are rounded forward, & my elbows are not passing my back. 
Second clip is the more effective way to perform a row. Back is flat, chest is up , shoulders are back, & I’m leading with my elbows to pull the weight up without straining my lower back. 
Always keep in mind to use appropriate weight for yourself. Even with good form if the weight is to heavy it can still lead to injury.

For example, you might lift weights in rhythm with your partner, match your own walking or running pace with his or hers, or toss medicine balls back and forth. If you have a positive attitude and KNOW you will achieve your goals, you’ll be way more likely to achieve them than if you walk around filled with self doubt.

3. Uneven squat pulses (30 lb dumbbell in 1 hand, 15 in the other one) 60 sec per side.
4. 4 in and out squats in center, 1 zigzag hop - 4 in and out squats, 1 zigzag hop - 4 in and out squats, walk back 90 sec

  • This week we had to say goodbye (for now 😉) to one of our founding Ensofit members @alicewilden as she leaves for new exciting opportunities in London. 
Alice has transformed her attitude and motivation towards exercise and has grown so much in confidence.

She loves an AMRAP too! 💪
