China offers incredible nature but don’t forget to visit the picturesque old villages as well! 🇨🇳 It really felt like I stepped into a time machine. SWIPE right for some impressions and let me know what you think! Were the "old times" really better than now?

Dawn on China’s Li River near Guilin was a special, almost spiritual scene. It was the second shoot with the traditional cormorant fishermen and although there was only one of them this time around, it was no less special. The early morning light came in slowly to the river canyon, so there was plenty of time to experiment and prepare our cinematic scene. I was surprised at how the birds and our fisherman model were able to keep so still. In the low light, it was necessary to expose for longer periods to get the image just right so it was great to have excellent models for the shots. Here is a serene image from that special morning. I still cannot believe the geography of the region. It is something I won’t ever forget. I’m curious to know how many of you would ever like to visit China? Is it on your list?

岂止咖啡 / More Than Coffee, a tiny roaster and a coffee shop in the east part of the city. Super friendly people and very relaxed atmosphere. I had hot chocolate because I wanted hitot chocolate, are you gonna sue me??
Also got some coffee from them - supporting local business.
So this is why the hotel is called the Water fall Hotel.
Each night at 8:30 thousands of gallons of water fall over the side of the hotel. The street gets crowded as people stop to look and take pictures 📸
I'll say I'm taking my own sweet time enjoying our only morning of sun in Guilin. Although it's usually more that I just tend to forget to post. Anyways. Last shot at this location. First shot of the morning, before the sun started to make everything glow. This is usually the best time for landscape shots when the clouds are still holding their color. But there were no clouds and I wasn't taking landscapes.
