Work on your inner greatness as much as you work on your body. ✖️ To me, this is one of the most essential things ever 🙏🏻
Never forget that happiness comes from within! 😊 A "perfect body" is not the solution to happiness..
You have to work on your inner greatness as much as you work on your body. Period. 👉
I believe that inner greatness encompasses so many things: from loving yourself, to finding happiness in both small and big things, to truly enjoying life, to being humble, helpful to others, being productive, letting go of stress, etc. 👉
Find those silver linings, make happy memories, work on letting go of stress, avoid negativity and toxic people. LOVE yourself - fully! Find joy in helping those around you. Be useful and helpful AND KIND to others and be productive (in and out of the gym) and make sure you enjoy life! 😊
Low key discovery: for squats (Essay ahead)
I know I’m supposed to be resting but I came to crush biceps, ended up benching and somehow started critiquing my squat in between sets, then tested out my theories despite my posterior chain being toasted after almost 7-8 days of squats and deadlifts 😅
I’ve been pondering on what’s caused my digression in squats after I squatted 495 lbs, but I forgot I switched to a narrow stance, higher bar placement, and narrower grip in hopes of experimenting with strengthening the areas preventing me from achieving depth with a wide stance. Somewhere along the line I forget my original stance 🤪
1st video is tonight, first time squatting wide in 3 months and felt like I could’ve done 405 for reps again. Completely unassisted (no wrist wraps, belt, sleeves, squat flats), lower bar placement, wide grip, core completely stabilized (no shaking/misgrooving), hip crease questionably parallel though (depth/mobility issue)
2nd video is yesterday’s narrow squat, 405 being relatively heavy for a single but hip crease is far below the knee. Extremely narrow grip, narrow stance, sleeves, squatting flats on, and belt on, an almost high-bar bar placement, wobbly decent, butt veered from beneath me.
3rd video was February’s 495 wide stance, not sure what to call the grip (not wide or narrow), super low bar, hip crease parallel, quick clean decent, small bounce, stayed tight through out the entire lift.
