Tulsa Heroes: you asked, we listened. We are so excited to announce our NEW training partnership with Tulsa Galloway! Any local St. Jude Hero committed to raising $1,000 or more can receive FREE training with Tulsa Galloway. Their goal is to help people of all ages and abilities, both runners and walkers, train for distances from 5K (3.1 miles), 10K (6.2 miles), half marathon (13.1 miles) and marathon (26.2 miles) using Jeff Galloway’s Run-Walk-Run method: run for a short segment, take a walk break, then repeat. Don’t worry – if you’ve already paid for your Tulsa Galloway training program this spring but would like to run as a committed St. Jude Hero, we can reimburse your training fee. My favourite half marathon the N2N back in 2016. Whitley Bay to Newcastle although it did say on the race information it was a “flat course” ... it certainly was not 🤣 But the finish right onto the Newcastle quayside was a great one! ⠀
Although the kids literally jumped on me just after passing the finish line and stole all of my post race sweets so I felt very sick for a while 🤢 ⠀
I was so pleased with my time with 1:45:02 . However at the same time so frustrated that I wasn’t 3 seconds quicker so I could have said I went sub 1:45 🤣🤣 It took another 12 months to do so !
