God, You are the shepherd of our hearts; You are forever-faithful and grant us everything we need. Your goodness, comfort and protection surround me. For Your Word says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me…Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever” (Psalm 23: 4, 6). When we face darkened valleys and roads in life, may You remind me that You are with me. You are faithful and Your promises are true.
Thank you God for the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you for fulfilling your promise. Fill me again today, Holy Spirit. Transform me. Help me live today in your power. Lead me into all that you have for me to do. I surrender to You. Amen.
Then they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:4 CSB)
The Scriptures are not saying that we come to know God by obeying His commands. Faith is not about trusting in our performance. True faith begins by trusting in the perfect obedience and sacrifice of Jesus on our behalf. But the Scriptures do tell us that a genuine faith in Jesus will be manifested through a life spent in the pursuit of obedience. A true follower of Jesus is a person who carefully guards his or her life according to the life and teachings of Jesus. It is someone who is simply seeking to “walk just as he walked” (1 John 2:6).
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for your perfect obedience, including the sacrifice you made for me on the Cross. To love you means to keep your commands. Show me today the places in my life today where I am missing the mark. Give me the strength I need to walk just as you walked. Amen.
The great gift of Easter is hope - Christian hope which makes us have that confidence in God, in his ultimate triumph, and in his goodness and love, which nothing can shake." Basil C Hume, (1923-1999)Cardinal Archbishop of Westminster

May we never forget that on this Good Friday, our Savior gave us a second chance to live by trading His life for ours. His sacrifice paid our sinful debts. For even John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” His death signifies pure love. I pray that everyone of you reading this is blessed all the days of your life and continue to shine for Jesus. Have a Good Friday 🙏❤️. #jesus#goodfriday#thankyouforlovingme#thankyouforsavingme#hallelujah#awesomegod#mightytosave#everlastingfather#amen

What’s So Good about Good Friday?
Why do we call Good Friday “good,” when it is such a dark and bleak event commemorating a day of suffering and death for Jesus?
For Christians, Good Friday is a crucial day of the year because it celebrates what we believe to be the most momentous weekend in the history of the world. Ever since Jesus died and was raised, Christians have proclaimed the cross and resurrection of Jesus to be the decisive turning point for all creation. Apostle Paul considered it to be “of first importance” that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and was raised to life on the third day, all in accordance with what God had promised all along in the Scriptures (1 Corinthians 15:3).
On Good Friday we remember the day Jesus willingly suffered and died by crucifixion as the ultimate sacrifice for our sins (1 John 1:10). It is followed by Easter, the glorious celebration of the day Jesus was raised from the dead, heralding his victory over sin and death and pointing ahead to a future resurrection for all who are united to him by faith (Romans 6:5). A love like in this picture can fade, however it can never fade away. Which has meant for us that we get to step in to and create the most transparent, integral, deep, loving relationship we have ever had, in 12.5 years! Words can’t fully express how truly blessed I feel and how grateful I am. I Love You, @bradley.myles.leeb
Honestly, not a fan of these posts...particularly when it says to just 'pray' when things get tough. Pray what? Pray for God to do something? Pray that everything works out okay? Pray that the rough parts of life end soon? A synonym for pray is to 'ask' or 'beg'. Why are there so many posts on social media telling Christians to just ask or beg God to work things out for us? Because of sovereignty!!! If the devil can get you to put the responsibility on God, that means you aren't in charge of your own life! And if he can get you to do that, he has free reign over your circumstances. Why? Because he has already been defeated by Jesus. God doesn't need to 'take care of him' and his issues any longer, because they were already dealt with. If you keep thinking God needs to deal with situations the devil has been influencing in your life, you have the wrong thinking. It is your responsibility to maintain that victory. Be careful with what you see on social media. We always have to be on guard to not accept anything unscriptural and we always have to be sensitive to the Holy Ghost. #debunking_sovereignty#christ#christian#jesus#jesuslovesyou#god#redeemed#redemption#hallelujah#righteousness#righteous#gospel#bloodbought#sovereignty#bible
