After this very full summer of dyeing and teaching workshops, I have a pile of dyed fabric samples! I really need to get my sewing machine working again so that I can do something with them ✨ This pile is (left to right) sumac, dahlias, black walnuts, spruce cones, eucalyptus and more black walnut. All locally grown/foraged #naturaldyes#plantdyes#botanicaldyes#naturalpalette

I’m really looking forward to offering this ~Naturally Dyed Table Linens~ workshop in Kalamazoo next month. Creating these sustainable textiles to accompany a home cooked meal feels like an act of love. We will be in the beautiful space @hello.jerico on November 23rd. The link to sign up is in my bio ✨ #naturaldyes#tablelinens#sumacdye
So happy to call these beauties mine. Just because of the handmade manufacturing process each skein is slightly different. How individual is that?! 🧡 #handdyedyarn queen: @sabinasiestoe [ad,selbstgekauft]
A very nice autumn combo in the popular Zweig sweater from Boylandknitworks. The beautiful yoke gives you a wonderful opportunity to show off some amazing variegated colours. .
Dejlig efterårscombo i den populære Zweig sveater fra Boylandknitworks. Det fine bærestykke giver dig masser af mulighed for at bruge skønne sprælske farver uden at det bliver for meget. .
Colours: Cappucino and Golden Era
Bases: Silky BFL and 1- ply sw merino
Remember the #sumacberry dye I made a while ago? This turtleneck is the subtle pink result from that dye. Berries are a fugitive dye, meaning they tend to fade fast, but they smell so nice are easy to find that they’re worth the trouble (to me, at least)
The avocado dyed headband/scarf in the last photo is more vibrant and saturated than the sumac color: experimenting & learning is more than half the fun with dyeing!
Dear Halloween Lovers and my fellow Gothy folks....here is a fibre braid for you! Mottled and mixed, this braid is a dark and gorgeous mix of purples and black, with hints of natural white here and there for contrast...it makes me so happy! 22 micron merino braid , hitting my #etsyshop later today!
Typical day at the office. The fade calendars are packed and almost ready to leave! 🎉 Still need some color inspiration for the full sized Christmas skein. 😄 But it's definitely coming together. I think in about a week I will be ready to return to my day to day business and start making regular shop updates again!
I’ve added small ‘barnacles’ in green and purple. For the blanket stitch edge around them I tried several colours that are all present in the background. I feel the darkest green one will work best. After that I’m thinking a flowing running stitch between them.

Slightly biased about loving the orange in my hand dyed aluminium - very autumnal. .

A textilfestésből sokszor marad meg bekevert festék, amit nem szívesen borítok a lefolyóba.
Ezt találtam ki, fonalat fogok festeni vele. Csak legyen aki ennyi fonalat elhasznál... 😁😁😁 #handdyed#yarn#wool#blue#brown
