Pretty daisies and rice flowers - both of these are Australian natives!

Another shot of one of my favorite pairs✨ Can’t wait to show you all the other styles I made using my faux Dalmatian Jasper technique 🖤
I still have a cold that's keeping me pretty low and slow😷😕. Adding that to a hard day with sick, tantruming children #mumlife#arrrggghhh , I'm very happy to have made any earrings at all. The fact that I made only a single pair is ok...considering they are soooo incredibly lovely😍. The cloudy Winter light☀ again did not allow these beauties to truly shine, but hopefully you can still see and appreciate the pretty colours and details🌸🌿. This wildflower collection is shaping up to be quite special. Amongst the coughing, the crying, the yelling and snotty noses, there was another pretty special part of my day today. A kind elderly lady in Woolies, nostalgic for her days with her own small son, stopped to chat to my 2 and 4 year olds (who were miraculously quietly behaving themselves for a few minutes at least). We parted after moments but met again a few isles down and she came up and gently dropped $6 into my hand to "buy the kids a little treat". After having already cried in Bunnings carpark after a rather spectacular shopping/mothering failure and feeling rather fragile, I almost cried again. I did not tell her that my rascals definitely would NOT be receiving a treat after their behaviour earlier and instead thanked her profusely. I bought a set of Frozen cutlery that was exactly $6 (to be brought out when the kiddies were being sweet again👼🍬). Long after my kids forget about the crazily popular franchise, I will look at the little fork and spoon and remember the lovely stranger that pulled me (mostly) out of my frustrated, defeated funk. It reminded me that life is fleeting and one day I will longingly look back to a time when my children were small, and I should be focusing on, and more appreciative of the good things of "now". Pretty profound for a Tuesday at the supermarket.😊 #kindness#payitforward#begrateful
Friends, please cross your fingers! Just applied to all of the big holiday shows tonight- I hope that my work will be accepted! More shows means the opportunity to make lots of uplifting jewelry while spreading the aloha vibes! 🍀🌺🌈🥰🏝
#workinprogress I just LOVE the colours left behind after soldering on these little silver balls! Sadly they can't stay this way and are destined for the pickle pot to clean off the dirt and oxides ready for polishing. This is a new little design I've been working on today; a mini version of my larger 'flower'disc pendant. These will be turned into drop earrings and pendants and will make their debut this Friday and Saturday at the @loveartnortheast Summer Artsfest at Grey's Monument in Newcastle. See you there? 😀 #LollaMac#handmadejewellery#workinprogress

On a planet far far away, a queen rules a peaceful kingdom. A threadbare carpet leads to her wooden throne; surrounded by statues of ancestors, not gilded in gold, but adorned in floral things and tiny living beings. She dresses in robes from the poorest tailor, the stitching crooked and undone. Her jewels lack fancy stones, made from wire & fire, painted according to the dreams of mystics and priests. Her people flourish, rich beyond imagination. Once in a dream, I asked her what’s her secret, she smiled and handed me these earrings.... #spokenstone
The little 'petal' shapes flattened out to be thicker than I intended but hey, it's all a learning process! This was the first pair I designed out of clay so I am more than happy with them.
