For those who miss the extended-family feeling, especially during Durga Puja, welfare associations (RWAs), offer the next best thing. These complexes bring people closer and give them the warmth of a family with many members. Connected at heart, residents in these complexes organize festivals as one big family and the best ones get their names on the top when it comes to unique competitions like Pujor Sera Bhog. The sixth rendition of Hangla Hneshel's @hangla.hneshel Pujor Shera Bhog is all set to put in all the 101 Housing complexes into action. This unique contest focusses to bring togetherness and communal harmony to cook the best meal for Debi Durga. 
@nimyleofficial which has been an integral part of this entire concept and process for the second year now, is the Title Sponsor of the event to be held this year. The following will be listed in ten further sub-categories namely,

The press meet for the successfully launch of Nimyle Hangla Pujor Shera blog was held on the 28th September, 2019 at  Rajkutir, Swabhumi. Gracing the occasion was Mr. @arindamsil and @yourkoel representing the movie ‘Mitin Maashi’ of Camelia Production who shared with the audience their fondest memories of Bengali's favorite festival.

  • Summer vacation calls for lazy weekday mornings. Breakfast are late than usual and longer than usual and expectations of delicious goodness. To satisfy the cravings, took time to make these Vada paavs today! Got some fresh bread rolls from the local bakery and made fresh green chutney and garlic chutney and store bought chaat chutney to go with the vadas. The result was yummy butter fried paavs with soft mouthwatering vadas that were gobbled up quick!

  • “Food is everything we are. It’s an extension of nationalist feeling, ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region, your tribe, your grandma. It’s inseparable from those from the get-go.” — Anthony Bourdain.

And these exact feelings inspired me to recreate a Bengali Thali with the food that brings back those memories far away yet so ingrained inside. 
On the table: Bhaja Moong Dal (Yellow lentil), Doi Potol (Pointed gourd in yogurt gravy), Mochaa (Banana blossom stir fried), Daab Chingri (Shrimp cooked inside tender coconut), Rui macher jhol (Carp fish curry), Aamer Tok (Mango chutney), Payesh (Rice pudding), Mishti (Sweets). In the plate with rice: Potol Bhaja (fried pointed gourd), Dal er bora (lentil fritters). #bongeats

  • Daab Chingri is a signature dish of Bengalese. The main ingredients of this recipe, chingri or prawns/shrimp , daab or green tender coconut and malai or the soft flesh of the tender coconut. As it is a pure bengali cooking recipe or Ranna recipe, mustard oil is an important ingredient to enhance its taste.

This is the first time I tried making this using real daab or green tender coconut. The result was amazingly delicious golden shrimps in warm mustard sauce and enough mustard oil to give the sparkle! #bongcuisine #bongeats

  • Just to eat a different version of chicken curry, tried out Chicken Sanjubaba, a recipe curated by Sanjay Dutt and famously served at Mumbai’s Noor Mohammadi Restaurant. The recipe is really simple with only a handful of ingredients. We really liked the curry. The flavors are subtle and not overwhelming. Only thing I tweaked is, added little paste of green chili, didn’t use any ghee (clarified butter) and also the Bengali in me couldn’t resist adding potatoes!
