One of my best friends told me how much weight I’ve lost & I look amazing. — But I don’t see it.
That’s the worst part about this. You see yourself everyday & don’t notice much change. You just have to keep pushing.
I notice my jeans are way looser & my shirts are too big but looking at myself.. Naaah. But today I woke up feeling strong & leaner. (Especially with eating lots of goodies during a meeting at work yesterday 🍩🍪) It’s not ALL about the weight.. Okay maybe sometimes it is. But if you just keep swimming [ #Dory ] BIG changes WILL happen. Focus on your strength & wellbeing, I promise it will come!

When I bought this shirt it was way too tight; around the tummy, the chest, back friggen everywhere and I was so disappointed that it didn’t fit. -Today I said fck it! I’ll just wear it idc if it doesn’t fit not only did it fit, it was lil loose in some places!😸 We love progress 🖤 Keep at it, you’re doing great! .

Shoutout to bae for always being there for me. Through thiiicc & thinn, literally. For always loving me when I was my weakest. For supporting me in everything that I do. For always having my back. Constantly reminding me to “do you girl” 🤣. Helping me overcome stress. Through all my different phases. Being there & watching me grow into the woman I am becoming. I cannot thank you enough. 💛
Growing up I always thought we were born with the things we were going to be confident in, and that was that. But in the last two years I’ve gained more confidence in things I never thought was possible and my perspective of confidence has change immensely.
To start: sharing my story, that shit is SCARY, to say the least. Second my insecurities, third Public speaking, four taking photos, five talking about what I do... and it goes on.
Just like our fitness journey, we have to work on our confidence. FIVE tips I could give you that I have felt that helped me, are:
1. Be kind to yourself
2. Remember WHY you are doing something, sharing something or starting
3. Be okay with the growing pains
4. Allow yourself to be selfish and value your opinion about what you want, the most.
5. Recognize how far you’ve come every step of the way.
So many of the conversations I have with you gals comes with fear of failure, judgement, public/ family opinion or even current criticism of why we don’t have confidence in ourselves or the pursuit of something.
I used to struggle so hard with this and it still seeps in my thoughts but let me remind you, which is what I remind myself every day: if I worry about others, what they think, do or don’t do... and I continue to focus my energy on that. My overall happiness and qualify of life will always be compromised.
