I've always been "so skinny." 🤷🏼♀️ I swear people use to LOVE to tell me that. People would comment/ "compliment" 🙄my body type and that's what they would say- "SO skinny." I was like cool 😑 not what I'm going for.🖕🏼What if I told someone that was trying to lean out, "dang girl you're looking THICK 😍." I could MEAN it as a compliment 💯% but that doesn't mean that it's something that girl would want to hear yanno?!
Before I started working out consistently, I lacked confidence in my appearance because I wanted to look STRONG and athletic, 💪🏼 not "skinny." As a coach I've learned not to let the comments of others stop me from moving forward. 🏃🏼♀️ I just stay laser focused on my goals and keep making progress. 📈
The amazing thing about my fitness journey is I feel proud and confident even though I'm still a work in progress. ☺️👏🏼Just knowing that I'm in route toward my end goal makes me feel 7385 times better than I did before I decided to make change. WHO KNEW?! 😆 I was JUST telling a friend earlier that if I KNEW how good I would feel not just physically, but mentally and emotionally, I would have started wayyy sooner. I mean I was already "SO skinny" so why workout right?! 🙄 #idoitforthefeels
I hope you don't wait (like I did) to feel good about yourself, to feel confident and strong. I hope you don't decide to stay the same if you have goals you want to be/do/have. ☝🏼This is me drinking the nutritional equivalent of: 🌾1 shot of wheatgrass, 🥬 3 cups of romaine lettuce, 🍄 4 cups of raw mushrooms, 🥝 a bowl of excotic fruit, 3 raw onions, 🥕 7 raw carrots, 4 cups of nonfat yogurt, 4 cups of radishes, 🥦 4 cups of broccoli, 1 cup of peas, and 10 cups of cauliflower 😳. If you ate all that in ONE day wouldn’t you be like “zamnnnn I’m healthy AF! 💁🏼♀️” ?!?! 😂 But probably couldn’t eat that all in a day if you tried 😜.
All I know is I could easily spend $7 on a sugar loaded coffee that would leave me feel like a turd, $8+ on a salad from a healthy restaurant or I could buy veggies from the grocery store so they can go bad in the crisper drawer and I can throw them away a week later 🙃🤣. Instead I invest in my health each month and treat my body to this superfood shake that is LITERALLY (parks and rec reference 😉) the healthiest meal of my day. It also tastes better than any salad I’ve ever come across AND it costs LESS 🙌🏼. I mean... 🤷🏼♀️...LESS than salad which is like the cheapest thing on the menu 😂.
