The left side is me at Christmas, the right side is me yesterday! I have lost over 55kg this year. More importantly I'm healthy, and for the first time in a long time I feel happy. Obviously I have my good days and bad days (The sun always helps) and I'm not going to say that exercise and diet is a total cure for mental health problems - but it certainly helps!
I practice mindfulness and yoga everyday, along with a healthy balanced diet and an exercise program. I also go to therapy once a week, these things help keep me grounded. I have a strong functional routibe. My anxiety isn't gone, but because I have such a great base in place to help me, I can handle more! To anyone struggling out there, I say start small and work your way up, you might be surprised with what you can achieve!
There are moments when you realize you have to level up. You have to give it more that you ever have. Can’t isn’t an option nor in your vocabulary.
Holding these two ladies constantly provides the reassurance that I need. I am the example of a Male in their life and that scares the fuck out of me but I’m down for the challenge.
