This is how Freddie looks at me when he’s waiting for me to pull food from my pocket. I think he wants me to hurry up 🤔😂

Mutual trust and respect. Freddie has absolutely no worries with me touching him and his feet. This kind if relationship is important to ensure I can regularly carry out health checks, clean his feet and change his equipment without causing distress.

Sheriff Woody gets his daily bath like clockwork. He absolutely loves a dip! (Bloody sirens ruining the audio) 🙄

I tried to take a picture with Princess Zola, I failed! That 270° makes taking pictures really difficult 😂

Spent the morning watching Griffon Vultures on the thermals. We’ve been spotting Black Kites, Buzzards and Kestrels too. I’m like a kid on Christmas 😂

Two more photos showing a fraction of the 3,070 Broad-winged Hawks (Buteo platypterus) myself and an #awesome crew of new and longtime volunteers counted today. So fortunate to be able to witness this phenomenal event as part of my work (it definitely helps make up for the days of less than ten birds). #Fieldwork .
Check out my last two posts for a video and more photos!
. #Factoid : Broad-winged hawks are the only true #raptors in eastern North America known to migrate in large #kettles as seen here.

Freddie does not like to share! He won’t waste a bit his rat, he eats the fur, bones and organs, anything that can’t be digested is brought back up in a pellet.
There's nothing more beautiful than when nature frames our couples perfectly. The detail and movement of this tree is exquisite. To just happen upon this piece of nature isn't as uncommon as you might think. There are magical nooks all around CT and we know most of them having been in the business for 30 years. Call or email - we are excited to book your 2020 wedding - email@example.com -
We can all agree, this fountain was EPIC! During the reception I asked the bride and groom to take a moment to pose in front of such statuesque scenery. Couldn't be more excited about the beauty of this moment. Wait till we capture the beauty of your day! -

I'm glad the bride and groom took a few moments to sneak away into the empty, yet decorated reception space for some portraits. At Hawk Photography, we love to be creative about the places we catch your moments together. Visit hawkphotography.com to see more intimate moments between our brides and grooms. -
Looks like somebody enjoyed their rat. The bulge on Freddie’s chest is his ‘crop’. The crop is basically a storage area for food to allow him to ingest large quantities on food in a short space of time. This is vital for the survival of birds of prey in the wild as they are at their most vulnerable when on a kill but must utilise every meal.
Working in pest control means that we can be flying in some pretty dangerous environments. Freddie was trained on site around moving lorries and cranes with loud noises, so he is very relaxed and performs perfectly when we visit.
She is just so sweet it hurts 😍 Zola is very playful and often plays with leaves or in her bath and with my fingers! I’m so excited for her to finish moulting and get flying again, she’s so beautiful to watch, not long now! ❤️
