  • CHICKEN WITH SPINACH IN CREAMY PARMESAN SAUCE 😋

Chicken with Spinach and Tomato in Creamy Parmesan Sauce – An easy one-pan dish that will wow the entire family for dinner! The delicious parmesan sauce is creamy and buttery with an irresistible garlicky flavor. Keto and low-carb friendly, and ready in just 25 minutes!
~
Serves: 2
INGREDIENTS:
2 chicken breasts
3 tablespoons butter, divided
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon oregano
1 medium onion, minced
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 small jar sun-dried tomatoes, drained from oil and chopped
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream (half-n-half or coconut milk for healthier option)
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup spinach (or more if you like)

DIRECTIONS 
1. Thoroughly season chicken with salt, pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon oregano on both sides.
2. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons butter with a bit of oil from the tomatoes over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for about 4 minutes on each side until browned. Once done and no longer pink, transfer to a plate and set aside.
3. To make the sauce, add the remaining tablespoon butter to the same pan. Cook onion, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon oregano and sun-dried tomatoes. Slowly add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese and mix to combine until smooth while simmering for 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
4. Add spinach to the mixture and continue cooking until wilted. Add the chicken back to the pan and reheat for 2-3 minutes. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!

  • So one thing I learned in school is about complete proteins. Complete proteins contain all the essential amino acids your body needs. Animal products are complete sources of protein however vegan protein sources are not (except for quinoa and any other that claims to be). To make a vegan source of protein a complete protein to provide your body with all the essential amino acids, you must pair your protein source with a grain. For example, some grains to pair up with includes bulgur, quinoa, rice, bread, and corn. So for this dish, I used the bean and corn combo to make my complete protein!

BLACK BEAN- CORN AVOCADO SALAD
—> Ingredients:
✖️1 can of black beans
✖️1/2 cup Corn
✖️1 tomato
✖️cucumber
✖️1/4 red onion
✖️parsley
Dressing:
✖️1/2 avocado
✖️1/2 lemon or lime
✖️1 tbs of fresh jalapeño (minced)
✖️pinch of @suncorefoods himalayan salt
✖️1/8-1/4 tsp paprika
✖️1 tsp oregano (optional)
—> Directions:
1. Prepare veggies and dressing
2. Combine everything together and mix until well combined

365 days ago unexpected change came my way. I went through a very painful time after being betrayed by someone I trusted. It was important for me to communicate how I will not be treated; which meant: new routines, new faces, and new boundaries.

365 days later, the “worst” thing to happen has led to the greatest opportunities.

Over the past year I raised $4k dollars for rare cancer research and teamed up with @lululemon, @equinox, and @goodmorningamerica. I began working with an incredible team, @instructrrfitness and kicked off a new (side-gig) career as a cycling instructor.

Most importantly, this plot twist from the universe has dropped some of the greatest people I’ve ever met into my life and brought me closer to ones who were always there. I'm surrounded by people whose values are in-sync with mine and who propel me towards new experiences.

My point is, the next time change hits you in the face, throw yourself a pity party then get over it by learning from the pain. Look for opportunities to re-align yourself with hobbies and people that make you feel safe and fulfilled. On the other side of adversity, they’re right there. Promise.

  • Easter NOMS coming in hot! The deviled eggs are devilishly good, super easy, and sneakily healthy! Yes I said HEALTHY.

1. 🍇 Swap out your usual bowl of ice cream sorbet for some frozen grapes! Not only are frozen grapes absolutely delicious, but you’ll also be cutting out a lot of extra calories from refined sugars added to sorbets!
2. 🥜 Swap out your nut butter for whole nuts. I find it’s hard to stick to one serving of nut butter and feel satisfied. But eating whole nuts, it takes me a lot longer to reach the same calories as one serving of nut butter, but I tend to feel a lot more satisfied! 
3. 🍞 Swap out your morning bagel, for a slice of whole-grain toast instead! 1 bagel is roughly 245 calories, while a slice of wholegrain toast is roughly 69 calories. Toast is just as satisfying to me as a bagel! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • So finally the last post is here about how to consume broiler to get the maximum nutritional benefits. Without wasting your time here they are: 🙈 *GRILL OR BAKE: 
Grill chicken (but on a grill pan without smoke) as the smoke leads to carcinogen production during cooking so avoid it to the maximum benefits. Both baking and grilling are low-fat cooking methods. 
Just add the spices and herbs which I mentioned in my previous post 🙈 with the addition of lemon and only a Tbsp of oil. Grill the lean cuts of chicken or bake it (74-82)°C to get the desired taste and flavor also the nutrients (which is most important). Note: lean meat (breast meat -- provides 31grams of proteins/ 100g) and we all are deficient of 10g of proteins due to decreased or less consumption of chicken/eggs or eating chicken with bad cooking methods i.e. fried chicken at extremely high temperature or consuming chicken source in processed form i.e. frozen items. *PAKISTANI METHODS OF COOKING:

We love biryani, qourma, karahi, handi blah blah. 😅 mun ma pani agya ha na 😅 ok so I must say you can eat them but make sure the salt and spices level must be balanced and also the fat content (oil and ghee used) during cooking. Most importantly temperature must not be high. cook it under medium flame and eat it within 20 minutes after the food is being cooked. You will get the required nutrients too. 😊 *HOW CHICKEN BECOME CULPRIT*

Chicken does not cause hormonal balances or cancer and stuff. 
It is not a culprit but the way we consume chicken in the form of processed food along with the refined carbs option i.e. zinger burgers etc (now all the foodies will kill me 😅). Like frozen nuggets, patties and stuff then it will cause harm. 
If we heat or fry chicken at high flame/high temperature then it will be less nutritious in fact it will lost most of the nutrients then. Then the chicken is what we call in Pakistani zuban *PHOKA* 😅
