I want to workout but I'm just too busy

I am ready to get fit and healthy but I'm just not ready to give up my unhealthy eating practices 
I just have one life, so let me enjoy by eating whatever I like

I cannot wake up early and have no time for excercise 
And blah blah blah blah.

And last but not the least I'm getting on track from tomorrow.

So days convert into months and years and finally it never happens to you . Life keeps ticking and we keep blaming and complaining.

It all starts with the mental preparation.

As a child I was born with asthma. I avoided running as it would make me breathless and uncomfortable. 
I had multiple reasons like many of you have.

I still have injuries and some health issues to deal with. But what keeps me going is just the  thought that my health is my responsibility.

So are you ready to take a step today or procrastinate it further???? Lets take our health in our hands now.

  • Egg-fried cauliflower rice with prawns recipe

INGREDIENTS-

1 cauliflower, separated into florets, leaves discarded
2 tsp sunflower oil
1 x 220g pack stir-fry vegetable medley, spring onions and chilli finely sliced, the rest chopped
2 tsp ginger and garlic paste
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
150g (5oz) frozen peas
200g (7oz) everyday value frozen cooked and peeled prawns, defrosted
3 eggs
3 tsp toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp reduced-salt soy sauce, plus extra to serve (optional)
1 tbsp chilli sauce (optional)
2 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

METHOD-

1. To make the cauliflower 'rice', pulse the florets a few times in a food processor or grate coarsely.

2. Heat the oil in a wok or sauté pan. Stir-fry half the sliced spring onions and chilli with the gingerand garlic paste for 1 minute.

3. Add the rest of the vegetables from the stir-fry pack, and the carrots and peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until just tender. Add the prawns and heat through for 2 minutes. Stir in the cauliflower rice and stir-fry for 1 minute.

4. Whisk together the eggs and 1 tsp sesame oil, then season. Make 2 spaces in the veg and pour in the egg. Let it set, then mix through with a flat spatula.

5. Toss the cooked veg and prawns with 2 tbsp soy sauce. Serve in bowls, drizzled with the remaining sesame oil. Top with the reserved spring onions and the chilli sauce, sesame seeds and extra soy sauce, if using.

Tip: Enhance the flavour of your fried rice with a squeeze of fresh lime juice. .

  • When you can’t decide what to have for pud so you have them both 😏 Tried these dark chocolate peanut butter cups along with a couple of the kinder Easter eggs after a standard meal of curry butternut beans, tahini bulgar wheat and veg 😋
I’ve had yet another epiphany in the last couple of days. With my hip getting ever worse it’s finally sunk in that doing the amount I was doing at the gym was not a good idea when I’m this weight. After years of abusing my joints I can’t blame my bod for being a bit crumbly. Yes this time I have been eating a decent amount and that would be fine if I was healthy, but I’m not. I wasn’t doing the sheer amount I used to do but it was still too much for my joints. So now I’m scaling it back; right back. No more ‘but it won’t hurt if I just try this, or push myself just this bit more’. I love the gym but my obsession for exercise can take hold and I need to be very careful. So that means keeping up the increases, cutting back on sessions, time limiting my sessions, and no running, weights only!! I can enjoy running again when my body can as well!
I hope you’ve all had a fabulous day!! Remember to question your real motivations for exercise; it should never be to control you weight!! That’s how unhealthy relationships can spiral and just end up in a mess 🌺

  • Today was leg day and if there’s one thing I can’t stand seeing on #legday at the gym, it’s bouncing while doing seated calf raises (really bouncing with any exercise involving weight). If you can’t control the weight, that means you’re, more than likely, using to heavy of weight.
