➕➕INGREDIENTS
50 grams flax seeds, ground into a meal
1 1/4 cups shredded coconut
1/4 cup cacao
Pinch good-quality salt
6 medjool dates, pitted
2-3 Tbsp rice malt syrup

CARAMEL LAYER
2 cups medjool dates, pitted
1/2 cup hulled tahini OR peanut butter if tolerated
1/4 cup rice malt syrup
1/2 tsp good-quality salt
1/4 cup coconut condensed milk
.
CHOCOLATE TOP
100grams vegan dark chocolate
1 Tbsp coconut condensed milk
.
⏩⏩Instructions

1. Add flax meal, coconut, cacao and salt to a high-speed food processor. Pulse until combined. Add dates and 2 Tbsp rice malt, and pulse to forma sticky base. Add more rice malt is needed.
2. Press mixture into the base of preferred cake tin (I used a 15cm square one)
3. Add all caramel ingredients to a high-speed blender, and blend until very smooth. You will need to scrape the sides at least one.
4. Pour over your base layer, smooth with a hot spoon, and set in the freezer while you make the choc top.
5. Add chocolate and coconut condensed milk to a heat-proof bowl and melt over a pop of simmering water. Once melted pour onto of caramel base.
6. Allow to set in the freezer for atlas 4 hours. To serve, remove from freezer and cake tin. Use a very hot knife to slice into desired serves. Store in an air-tight container, and ENJOY! .

  • I bought and enormous bag of @birchbenders paleo mix @costco so I’m getting a little creative with the recipes 😂 this Gluten Free Banana Bread was actually quite the success! Check out the recipe below!.

Ingredients
.
3 very ripe bananas
1 1/2 cup @birchbenders paleo pancake/waffle mix 
2 tablespoons flax
1/2 tbs honey
1/2 tsp cinnamon 
1/4 neutral oil 
1/4 cup mixture of walnuts and dark chocolate chips
.
.
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or kind a loaf pan with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, mash up bananas with a fork.
3. Add cinnamon, flax, oil and honey. Whisk together.
4. Add @birchbenders mix and whisk together. Mix in half of toppings.
5. Pour batter into loaf pan and top with remaining nuts and chocolate. Bake 45-50 minutes until golden brown and toothpick comes out clean.

  • smoothie bowls in the summer 🤤 best part is the blueberries are from my yard! we grow them on bushes. gonna chill all day till dinner with my dad- we’re getting cauliflower crust pizzas! exciting stuff!!!

2 @vansfoods gluten free blueberry waffles topped with @twogoodyogurt vanilla yogurt, some crunchy almond butter and banana slices 🍌👏🏼 On the side I had two fruit and grain @bilinskisausage chicken sausages! These are soooooo yummy!😍

1/2 tsp sea salt 
1/3 cup dark chocolate, chopped.

Heat oven to 375. In a mixing bowl, combine coconut sugar and egg. Add tahini, vanilla extract, and MCT oil. Mix in melted chocolate. Add dry ingredients. Scoop into balls, place on lined baking sheet, and flatten slightly. Top with dark chocolate. Bake 9-12 minutes. Sprinkle with flakey sea salt. .

The American Diabetes Association Standards of Care emphasizes that diabetes does NOT define a person. Which is why when talking to someone with diabetes, we should really take this into consideration. Just like you wouldn’t go around calling someone a cancerist, a hypertensive, or an erectile dysfunctionist, calling someone a diabetic isn’t PC. The term diabetic could instead refer to complications to diabetes, medication, and diets for example. ⠀

With all that being said, I also know people who are perfectly fine with that term and are ok with being referred to as a diabetic. However, that is their choice, not one that people without diabetes get to make for them. ⠀

Receita:
Usei 7 bananas prata bem maduras (quase "pôdi" da casca preta kkkk) amassadas (tem que ser bem maduras mesmo, pois são bem mais doces)
Uma pitadinha de sal
Leve ao fogo baixo numa panela de fundo grosso, mexendo sempre até começar a firmar e soltar do fundo da panela. Transfira pra um prato levemente untado e deixe esfriar. Reserve seu creme caribe.

Derreta no microondas 50g de chocolate amargo 70%. Faça bolinhas com o creme caribe e passe no chocolate derretido. Deixe as trufas descansando no papel manteiga ou em forminhas de silicone. Leve à geladeira até o chocolate firmar. 
Cobri com papel laminado para ovos da páscoa, mas pode usar papel alumínio convencional.
Mantenha na geladeira até o consumo!
