3 weeks ago I was getting ready to go to the hospital thinking I had to get induced when my water broke spontaneously and the next morning I had this beautiful girl. Life is much busier now, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Thankful for a healthy body and healthy kids

Interruption or added challenge? 🤷🏻♀️💪 #workingoutwithkids
Whether you’re a first time mom or you almost have your own basketball team, there’s a good chance if you’re exercising at home you probably know how difficult it can be to get a workout in without something (or should I say someone 😏) requiring some of your attention.
When I first had Quinn (baby number 1), I remember getting frustrated that I just could never seem to get in a full workout without being “interrupted.” If I didn’t sweat like crazy, do the workout I had planned, or exercise for at least 45 minutes, I felt like my movement didn’t even count that day 🙄🤦🏻♀️ .
Fast forward to Blake (baby number 2)...
Sometimes my workouts last ten minutes, sometimes I get in a half hour of movement.
I may plan on doing one thing, but more often than not I end up doing something completely different five minutes into the workout ⏰ I don’t always sweat or do some crazy complicated movements and I’m not always sore the next day.
So what do I do?!?
I move. I go with the flow. I change my way of thinking. Instead of seeing it as an interruption when one of my kids needs my attention, I try to think of it as an added challenge! How can I continue moving my body while giving my kid(s) what they need at the same time?! 👩👧👦
Once I changed my mindset and stopped worrying so much about doing a specific workout for a certain amount of time each day and instead shifted my focus on just getting my body moving, exercising with kids became a lot less stressful and a whole lot more fun 😊💃🏻 Here’s a few exercises for you mamas who need to calm a crying baby during your workout!PS. You can do all of these without bands or a baby too😉

Haven’t seen that body in a while! Throwback to a flat belly 😂 I love my bump though and the little monkey that grows inside me. Ladies, being pregnant is the most amazing thing! 🥰 #sohappy#22ssw#grateful
A small change in your posture can mean big changes for the impact on your skeleton.
Pregnancy posture is challenging because of rapid changes in your body, both from a physical and hormonal standpoint. 👎🏻In the pic on the left I’m slouching and standing like SO MANY preggo ladies with hips thrust forward and rib cage tipped up and too far back behind the pelvis.
👍🏻Pic on the right I’m bringing my rib cage over my pelvis (& tipping down a little), which unloads the stress on my lower back and decreases the pressure through my abdominals.
*Remember, you don’t have to be perfect...be conscious of your posture and goods habits will form over time...your skeleton will thank you 🙏 😊
Notice how different my belly looks with better alignment and a tiny bit of muscle activation?

The week prior to vacation = no grocery shopping which = more take-out as we near the end of what we have in the fride.
But even choosing to grab take-out can be healthy! You just have to be conscious of what you’re choosing to! I mean... hell, even #McDonalds has salads!! It’s all about #choices and consistently making those healthier choices!
You are the only one that controls what you put in your mouth, not your trainer, not the internet, not me. You!! It’s ok to enjoy life and enjoy food and eat the indulgent foods as long as you balance it all out with better choices.
I won’t pass up some tiramisu, I love pizza and fries, and are those damn Girl Scout cookies gone yet because lord knows I’ve eaten more than my fair share of those! But I’ve still seen the results of 60 pounds lost!
So as I’m preparing for a full week of indulging, I’m balancing this week with better choices.

Hunter has been nursing non stop all afternoon so when I finally got a chance to put her down I needed something filling and fast for dinner. Chicken taco bowls were the perfect solution 🙌🏻 I cooked chicken tenders in a jar of salsa and then shredded them, put the chicken over white rice, and then topped it all with a whole avocado, cilantro, onion, lime juice, and @tessemaes ranch 🤤
There is so much we have to think about when having a baby- right?! Most aren’t thinking about their gut. I didn’t at first.
But then my eyes were opened to something called the gut brain connection when I was 3 months pregnant...and I’m so grateful I jumped right on in to healing mine. 🙏🏻 I know it transformed my health and mental wellness, and changed my baby’s future health for the better. Yes- this is life changing info!
Climbing at 25 weeks pregnant feels as awkward as the cover photo 😂
Thanks to my fellow #fitmama@lamjessfit_ for lending me her #bigmamaharness so I can continue climbing. Though it’s definitely not something I’ll be doing 80ft climbs this spring in, nor taking any whippers, i can still climb. #grateful
At this point, and in my second pregnancy, I just want to continue to feel good, to challenge myself, to stay healthy, stay sane, and maintain my lifestyle. Speed, weight, level, height... all of that is modified now. And it doesn’t matter. When mama’s happy, so is this little human being inside.
Confused about what to register for? Ya you are, because it's freaking overwhelming! Hoping to make it easier for you by sharing what we couldn't have lived without the first few months and why! “The Posterior Chain” refers to major muscles on the back of the body spanning from from your legs all the way up to your upper back. These muscles have a star role throughout pregnancy (especially later in pregnancy as your belly expands), and throughout early motherhood, too.
Strengthening the muscles of the posterior chain improves posture, relieves back and neck pain commonly brought on by pregnancy and the major and highly repetitive physical demands of motherhood, annnd gives ya some nice muscle definition in some nice places!
I was about 4 months pregnant with Wyatt in this video, and my super duper lil gym sidekick Zane😍 was almost 1 year old. I do want to note that kettle bell swings made me feel a bit dizzy later in pregnancy, but felt absolutely great at this stage (for me). Being aware of your body’s response to exercise is an important skill to hone during pregnancy and, yes, throughout your postpartum fitness journey as well.👍
Semoga yang like dan komen amin bulan ini bisa cepat mempunyai momongan.,. Amiinn

As I turn 30 weeks I am reflecting on this amazing journey growing our first baby in my belly. I’ve always been intrigued with biology and science, the fact we grow humans inside of us is so amazing, and now to experience this for myself makes me so unbelievably grateful. I feel blessed to be on this rewarding journey.
We all want the best for our children. Prior to becoming pregnant I always thought I would be one of those people who ate to the book the entire time, well, as much as I tried in the beginning, it was hard enough to even eat toast certain days. I had told my doctor and he was understanding, he said a lot of women eat more carbs their first trimester. I could have felt bad about it, but instead I just kept trying to eat as well as my stomach would let me. I knew my appetite would eventually improve, and above all, stressing isn’t good for the baby either, right?
As much as eating well is always priority, I am grateful for the above average nutrition my prenatal supplements have been giving me. I knew that if I wasn’t able to eat like I wanted to in those early days, at least I knew I was getting what me and my baby needed at such a critical time in its development. When you are growing a human the last thing you want to do is not feed it the proper nutrients and then stress about it. I have taken and compared many different daily nutritionals and none come close to the quality of the ones I take. The products I take go beyond the minimal dose required to prevent diseases, and they also contain the ideal doses of a variety of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to help the child develop to its fullest potential. Research has proven that giving growing children the optimal levels of nutrients until at least 2 years of age will affect their DNA for the rest of their lives. Why settle for anything but the best? #grateful#healthypregnancy#healthybaby#30weekspregnant#onlythebest#nutritionalsupplements#prenatals#prenatalvitamins

Let your joy burst forth like flowers in the Spring 🌼
Do you ever just feel like no matter what you do, the universe just seems to be moving against you.. Like no matter what route you take, it’s the wrong one.. you jump a hurdle only to moments later run into another one? Lately life has felt a lot like that. I’ve been trying to ask the better questions to get the better, deeper answers, but I keep falling short. Trying to remember that all we can do is wake up everyday and give it the best we’ve got.. the universe will handle the rest 💛

Recently a coworker (completely innocently & kindly) asked me how much weight I had gained in my pregnancy. I explained to her that I don’t get weighed routinely at my prenatal visits due to my history of disordered eating & body image. But it got me thinking: what have I been so afraid of?
I’ve grown so much in confidence in my body through pregnancy. It has been one of the most challenging & rewarding times as I’ve learned more & more about intuitive eating, movement, and trusting my body to do exactly what it needs for my little dude to grow, & in order to hopefully provide for him afterwards too.
So after two days of thought & prayer, I stepped on a scale. And it was liberating. I felt so free & at peace with the number I saw. I can truly say I have never been more overjoyed to be in my body, stretch marks & all. Because this body is growing a human, something not every woman has the privilege to experience, & something I once feared I would never be able to do. And with each passing day I’m only more grateful.
The super popular at home 🧬 DNA test @23andme has recently found a link between pre-term labour and 6 genes a woman may carry. One of them is a gene that determines a woman’s ability to use selenium. This has sparked some massive interest in the medical community.
A team at Stanford University is also in the process of developing a blood test to identify chances of pre-mature labour. This will allow mamas to work with their health care provider to minimize risks of delivering too early

This oil is one of the reasons I am so passionate about sharing natural alternatives to modern medicine. Because we got the flu last week. Not the man flu, not the run of the mill flu you might use to describe a bad cold but the actual sick as a dog, can’t get out of bed, no eating, barely drinking, dangerously high and long lasting fevers flu. I’m on day 10 now and although not 100% I am miles better. On day 3 both Ashton and Jason came down with it too. So there was the 3 of us awfully sick and no ability to move let alone look after each other. We were a
very poorly lot! On day 4 Ashton took a turn for the worse getting a nasty secondary infection to his throat. Poor little guy. He couldn’t eat, drink, swallow, talk. Nada. And pain killers were doing nothing. His fever was sitting at a scarily high constant 40C and we were at the point of do-we-don’t-we go to hospital as dehydration can be quick and deadly for children. And then I pulled myself out of my own sick brain fog and remembered little old oregano oil. It’s not an oil I would have chosen straight up to add to my kit but good golly gosh am I glad I got it. Because oregano oil offers potent support to the immune system and while a very hot oil - so not safe to apply to the skin of children - 1 drop on a tissue pinned to the outside of their t-shirt can work wonders. And it did. Within 2hours of doing just this with Ashton and he was like a new child. He was eating, drinking, his fever started coming down and he was playing with his toys. This from a child who only a couple of hours prior wasn’t moving or able to swallow. We then backed oregano oil up with some heavily diluted On Guard rolled on his spine and within 24hr he was 90% better. We did the same with Jason and his turn around was just as fast. A little sadly I’ve had to take the slow and steady route to getting better as oregano and On Guard are best avoided in pregnancy, but still, 2/3 of us better meant I could take some more time to rest and look after myself instead of wearing my Mama hat and taking care of everyone while struggling myself. And that’s a win in itself. #oreganoforthewin

This evening... I witnessed the cutest & saddest thing at the same time... I had my birthday 🎂 weekend away- now it’s Mike’s turn to getaway for the next 3 nights. We thought it was important that each of us take some time doing something fun- and time away from the kiddos. A chance to have some alone time, adult social time, and SLEEP 😴 ! Lol 😂
With that being said- Cooper went nuts when he realized Daddy was leaving! He threw a huge tantrum and was crying 😢! Wish me luck over the next 3 days!
And don’t forget- taking time for you away from the kids from time to time is important. You’ll come back refreshed and appreciating your family life that much more 💕

Let's talk Labour Plans. What should be in your labour plan?
Firstly, it's important to decide who is going to be there with you. Do you want them to stay with you all the time or just be present for some of your labour?
Think about the positions and how you want to give birth, are you interested in water births, home births etc.
And a big one, pain relief. Will you try to have a natural birth? Are you wanting an epidural, acupuncture, aroma therapy and even hypnotherapy? These are tough questions and very individual to each mother and even each birth. What worked for your first baby might not work the second time around, and that's okay!
The baby's umbilical cord is also an important factor, is there someone in particular you want to cut the cord such as you or your birth partner?
These are just some of Aiko's tips for things to consider for your birthing plan, and always remember, it's okay if things don't go to plan.
What are your suggestions? Let us know below! 👇🏼

This picture was taken 2 days before Zoey came into the world. 🔸
For years we were told that we were healthy and there was nothing that should be preventing us from having a healthy pregnancy. Yet, our family didn’t grow. Doctors were baffled and offered us no hope. It wasn’t until I started doing more research by myself and pursued a more holistic approach (which God totally led us to do) that we started getting answers. 🔸
I have been doing a lot of reading on different health topics since and have been determined to understand my ‘conditions’ in order to get better. It’s been quite a journey and it wasn’t always easy but, as I look back, I am grateful for the wealth of knowledge it gave me. Understanding what goes on in our bodies, how foods and products affect us and what can be done to positively impact our health is so empowering. 🔸
My heart goes out to all those who are still looking for answers. Those who suffer silently. Those who want to throw in the towel. Keep pressing on whatever your physical challenge may be. The answers might just be around the corner. We all have unique stories and set of challenges but I believe everyone can benefit from making good ‘health investments’. 🔶

I am in charge of my life and how it goes moving forward. Like everyone, I’ve made bad decisions and held myself back at times out of fear or worrying about what people think. But I got tired of doing that. And now I want to push myself harder, and I look forward to the future with my family and relationships around me. Let’s go!

This age should be called the TRYING 2s.
Trying to make you crazy.
Trying to push the boundaries.
Trying to kill herself by pulling off outlet covers and trying to stick Bobby pins in! 🤪
Trying to learn how to be sassy.
Trying my patience.
Trying new mood swings every 3 seconds.
I’m thinking maybe it’s a full moon or maybe she’s TOTALLY different than her sister, but this week has seemed long already 😅
What I have learned is that I need to take more pauses. I need to stop more and look at her and her sister when they talk. I need to give myself A LOT more grace for the big personalities that I’m dealing with and the long hours of mommin’ I do every day.
Imperfect mamas and perfect grace is where you’ll find me during this season. Also maybe hiding in a closet occasionally 😁
I’m finally getting a break from my morning sickness and feeling better!! Our doctors apt went great this week and I’m finally gaining some weight and the little man is growing strong and right on track! 💪🏻
I scheduled the rest of my doctor appointments and it’s so crazy to think I only have a few more and he will be here!😍🤗
Health update:::::To be honest, I always thought eating vegan or vegetarian was THE best option. I felt so passionate about it for so long and thought it was the absolute best diet for my body and now my world has been flipped upside down. As it turns out... it doesn’t agree with my body AT ALL. I already have some amount of #insulinresistance which was something that was found on some tests in 2018. My doctor thought it was a fluke. We didn’t really take it too seriously, so I kept eating the way I was eating—mostly vegan and higher carb. I did however start to notice that my hair was becoming more and more brittle, my mood swings were all over the place and my anxiety was through the roof. So I’ve continued to do more and more research on insulin resistance because I find it so fascinating that even though I seemingly eat a healthy diet the majority of the time... refined carbs (bread, pasta, white rice, etc) will never agree with my body. It has been an interesting revelation and has changed my perspective on diet and lifestyle dramatically. .
So what am I going to do? I’m adopting a lower carb lifestyle, staying active, getting some sun and enjoy this pregnancy as much as possible. My doctor and I plan on coming up with a plan for taking my blood sugars, etc. and will update you guys as that happens but for now I’m reducing my sugar dramatically, not eating refined carbs, incorporating healthy fats and taking looooong walks by the beach. Jk I wish. Will let you guys know when that video is up!!! 📸 .
2.4 sweaty miles on the treadmill tonight. My goal was to get outside for the @mrttphwc challenge before Miss C got home, but it just didn’t happen so I took advantage of the hubby working late to squeeze in a treadmill run after bedtime.
Currently loving @aaptiv workouts for those treadmill runs when my brain is fried at the end of the day but I need to move my body.
Over 36 weeks of growing this little papaya .. ..can't wait to find out if Cleo will be getting a baby sister or brother!!

I hope you grow up.....⠀
always asking for PB and apple for snack. ⠀
Buddy, being healthy doesn’t have to be hard.......or expensive ...... or boring.⠀
You are never too old to put “ ants” on your celery peanut butter log or cut your pineapple into stars. ⠀
Dear boy, never tell yourself you CAN’T have something. I promise, that thing will be all you crave until you get it. Remember that sugar and carbs can and must remain in your diet for balance. The key- don’t overdue it! ⠀
Go out, try new foods, new spices. ⠀
Make your own creations. Have fun with it. Enjoy your food. Eat for fuel and the energy that brings you joy. Don’t eat just for the pleasure of eating or feeling full. ⠀
Never let food make you feel guilty or sad. Never let food fill a void. ⠀
I hope you know that we don’t own a scale in our home because a number doesn’t tell me how healthy I am. I hope you understand that when you ask for Oreos and milk every night, I will always ask you what you ate that was healthy today. Why? Not because I won’t let you have the Oreos but because I want you to understand the idea of balance. ⠀
Remember, you are what you eat and a Panda is proof that just eating plants will not make you thin. 😊
