The aloe vera has a lot of uses for humans but unfortunately, it is toxic for pets. "Aloe vera, which is from the Aloaceae family, is a common houseplant. Aloes contain anthraquinone glycosides which are purgatives (medications that encourage bowel movements). When ingested, these glycosides are metabolized by intestinal bacteria forming compounds that increase mucus production and water in the colon. This can result in vomiting and diarrhea. Other clinical signs seen with aloe vera ingestion include depression, anorexia, changes in urine color, and rarely, tremors." (Source: https://bit.ly/307tpwa).

Hope y’all don’t mind if this sorta also becomes a little bit of a plant account👼🏼
It’s only August but I’m already preparing myself for the winter. I get hit pretty hard with seasonal depression so I’m trying to fill my room with a few plants because they make me happy. 🌞
I get some of my plants from Bunz and Facebook Marketplace, so they are propagations or plants looking for a new home. When looking for a new pot I try to find one secondhand first!! This snake plant friend from Facebook marketplace and already came with a terra cotta pot 🥰

Do you remember the first plant you ever bought? Once you step into a world of green it's almost impossible to turn back, plants feed our soul, help us grow and ground us firmly in the moment. We want to hear your plant stories, what was your first plant and how quickly did your obsession grow? 📸: @thefuturekept
If you've visited my house, then we've probably spent a lot of time in this room talking and listening to records. In this old 1940's house, this room was designed as the master bedroom. Welllll, I got a wild hair and relocated to the master to the living room basement (best. idea. ever.) so I could make this into a hosting/entertaining space! Today, I was at Sun River Gardens and they had these adorable rainbow-felt magicalness-things that this room just needed which reminded me... I have not posted any before photos of this space! This is a 9 month process with a lot of iteration and it was done about 75% with my own two hands.
This is my fave picture spot! The light streams into the window and the plants love it too. 🌱
I’ve noticed that I’ve been walking different recently. Taller, more sure of myself. Not as many sideways glances to see if people are looking at me. It feels good. Walk tall and walk strong; you deserve to be seen. 🙌
Here’s to another beautiful summer weekend! I know I’m making sure to enjoy them while they’re here ✨ #letherselfgrow

💚Purify the Air. 💚Removes Formaldehyde and benzene in the air.
💚 Light – Bright, filtered light to thrive. If in low light area, a small indoor light will keep it looking fresh and fleshy.
💚Water – Water deeply but sparingly. Water once a week, let it dry out between waterings.
💚Soil – Well-drained
💚Pretty low maintenance plant.
The 18th street Block Party is happening tomorrow, and we hope to see you there.
We have pop ups, we have food, we even have yard games. Peep the lineup and come say hello in person. These businesses are crucial fixtures in the movement keeping the creative and independent shop industry alive and well in Kansas City. Come be a part of it with all of us.
Yuhhh I’m closed to 1000 followers. Not gonna lie, I’m pumped cause I depend on social media to validate my feelings, so here's a raffle! 😌🌿

Good luck! 🦜
