Just grinding my ass off to achieve my dreams wbu? (ft. cat butt)
A question I routinely get asked is “how do you stay motivated?” and while motivation is a damn roller coaster (yes, for everybody) here are some tips that I use to stay motivated & keep grinding:
🔍Define your goal and WHY you want to achieve it, having a WHY is essential to wanting to keep going when the going gets tough. Visualize it, let yourself dream out all the details. Connect to it emotionally. Remind yourself of your why every day.
🔍Don’t try to achieve everything at once, realize that achieving goals takes time & consistency. It doesn’t happen overnight. And that’s okay. Take it step by step. Be patient.
🔍Create an inspiring work space. I usually go to work at my favorite coffee shops bc having people working around me often motivates me more. But if I work from home I keep my desk uncluttered & aesthetically inspiring. Find/create the ideal workspace for YOU.
🔍Ingest media that inspires you/reminds you of your goal. I love motivational speakers like @garyvee or @willsmith. Or, I’ll watch videos/read interviews/etc. from people that are in the position I’m aiming to be at.
🔍Remember that it’s TOTALLY okay to relax & give yourself days off but, also be REAL with yourself. If you’re procrastinating, try to dissect why. Procrastination is usually fear in disguise.
And always remember- failure is not a dead end, it’s simply a speed bump. As our boiiii Thomas Edison said- “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”💡

Here are some simple DO’s and DONT’s from today’s rooted class! Are you guilty of any of these common mistakes? Here’s how to fix them:
BOX PISTOL SQUAT
Don’t: use momentum to stand up
Do: stand up without rocking back and fourth
DB SINGLE LEG DEADLIFT
Don’t: round out your shoulders, back, or stagger your legs
Do: keep your back straight and hinge at your hips while keeping your knees aligned.
SINGLE LEG BALL HAMSTRING CURL
Don’t: pull the ball in without lifting your hips
Do: raise your hips as you pull the ball in to activate your hamstrings
HT JUMP SQUAT
Don’t: bend your elbows as you jump
Do: lean back and keep your arms straight on the HTs the entire time
