It’s almost time for the 2019 #USABNC19 as boxers from across the country gear up for a shot at claiming the National Title. The Elite Boxers that win this tournament will get a shot at representing the U.S. Olympic Boxing Team and potentially box in the 2020 Olympics. So yesterday I had a couple of hospital appointments and was advised to “take it easy”. Including, not walking up stairs, not picking up my son, not walking on soft surfaces (eg sand) for too long, and not doing strenuous housework (ie vacuuming and mopping). So naturally, I walked out of the hospital, up the stairs to get to the carpark, walked around at the shops for a while, and then went home and finished off my daughters cake and other baking in preparation for her party today 🤣
So now her parties over, my body is forcing me on the couch 🙈 She had a ball though and I love seeing her so happy.
Now to start planning Christmas parties!! 🤣

HOW TO DO A PULL-UP! Step by step progressions. .
•Pull ups are so hard. I actually really dislike doing them lol but they are they so good for increasing strength, defining your back and just feeling like an overall badass pulling around your body weight.
•The key to pull- ups is learning to retract the shoulder blades and learning to pull you body weight at any angle.
Start where you can at any angle of pulling while also incorporating scapular pushups or pull ups.
1. Work eccentric reps within Working regular reps. Once you can do 10 reps where you’re at, increase the difficulty of the angle. (Can also add ankle weights or a weight vest to these.)
2. Then start over with a hard angle of pull for the eccentric reps and work towards 10 reps.
3. You can work different pulling angles and assisted pull ups at the same time. Switch off days you work them.
4. Challenge yourself and keep progressing. If you keep progressing you’ll get stronger and eventually be able to do a pull-up if that’s your goal. Start where you’re at and to keep pushing yourself!
