The Sweeping Deadlift is a deadlift variation where you attach a resistance band to a post or bar in front of you. This band is actively pulling the bar away from you, so in order to keep the bar close to the body you must learn to engage your lats. You can perform this lift with a traditional deadlift setup, however I feel like you get more bang for your buck with a snatch grip.
Form Tip: You need to remember that the bar needs to remain close to you at all times. The key point is when you pass the knees. This is where the bar wants to move away from you the most. So as you pass the knees, you need to actively think to “sweep in“ with the lats. Also use LIFTING STRAPS if you have them!

Had a fabbbulous upper bod sesh today to end the best week of workouts 💪🏼 each training session is starting to feel more solid wahoooo! Still sticking with an upper/lower body split at the moment and I’m loviiiin it🤩 find what works for you, be consistent with it and most of all make sure you enjooyyy it!! I’m definitely enjoying my training the mossst I ever have right now and it’s all down to doing the exercises and split that I enjoy and works for me. NO PRESSURE💁🏽♀️ we’re doing it for us, nobody else. We go and we do what we CAN🤗. annnndd because of it, I’m definitely being the most consistent. 🥳 Always always do it for you. Bcos you are THE most important thing. 💛🌈 YOU. GOT. DIS. 😽
I am starting to experience low energy. Hunger has been around for a little while, but that is relatively manageable. This low energy thing is very new to me. It’s not a normal “I need a nap” feeling. It’s more like your body is tired, recovery takes a little longer than usual, you want to take more time in between sets than you should. I wouldn’t say I’m struggling because this truly predominantly about mentality and mindset, but it is getting harder. Lucky for me I have the best team beside me and more support than I could ever ask for.❤️ Only a few more weeks!

Not so fun Saturday.
After my touch and go, 325 bench press (6 lbs PR!), my chest pain from last weekend came back (atlas stones for height). It was very distracting AND painful on the load.
Today I was unsuccessful with the highest platform.
Did 2-3 singles with 305-315 with platform 4 and 3.
Then did a quick single with 365 on lowest platform to stay away from chest pains. Farmers were a joke too.
Did 260/hand for 20 ft.
We all have those days at some point. Just keep training and find an alternative even if it feel stupid or if it feels like you won’t get anything much out of the movement. It’s time to rebound this week/weekend and focus up!
The most common question is what does it take to be the best?
Well it depends on who you ask, everyone has a different answer.
But for me, it means being able to do whatever it takes at any given moment. Being consistent, making everyday count, sometimes it requires making large sacrifices, weather it be family, friends, gf, etc. but the right people will always understand and always support you. also always being prepared, making sure your always on track, never be lazy, on certain days you don’t feel like training, those are the days you better get your ass to the gym and train your heart out and make those the best training sessions possible because you better believe your competition isn’t taking any days off. Be ready to push yourself past limits you never even thought existed. Because it’s in those moments you find out just what your truly capable of, you find out exactly who you are. Never settle.
