  • This post is not about " oh I am so proud of coming this far " !

This post is about struggles that a work from home mom who breastfeeds her 7.5 months baby exclusively, who feels hungry AF all the time ( all thanks to breastfeeding and lack of sleep) , not working out consistently , have major cravings all day long , dealing with a teething clingy baby but one thing I am so thankful are those habits that I has built during the foundation of my fitness journey.
1. I still drink atleast 3.5 litres of water .
2. I still eat a lean protein source in atleast two meals of the day ( sometimes it's one meal too because sometimes we love breaking our own rules and life happens and it's not about carb protein fats on those days )
3. I still make sure I eat veggies in every meal. Whether putting them in rice, salads , stir frying , veggies are a super important part of my meals .
4. I still try to get in as many steps possible ( does holding your growing baby and walking count as double the steps? 🤦‍♀️ )
5. I still don't always give into my cravings. I do get them very often, but I just divert my mind and start doing something else. When nothing works, I eat two pieces of chocolate or a cookie .
6. I still eat two fruits a day.
7. I still eat overnight or warm oats / eggs , toast and fruit for breakfast. ( #teambreakfast )
8. I still make sure I dont neglect my health because I have seen what happens when you dont take care of it.
9. I still dont beat myself for getting off track ( I do get off track , alot lately )
10. I still have a very beautiful and healthy relationship with food , I enjoy everything in moderation and eat in portion control .

This is the power of habits and if I got from there to here , it is only because of those habits. These habits have been pushing me even in those times when life really gets me and everything goes against me.

Never ever believe anyone who says that losing weight after becoming a mother is impossible. If you have build the foundation of good habits, you will gradually see yourself fit and healthy again. Just walk one extra mile , just take one extra step and you will see how stronger you are.

  • • OWN YOUR GRIT •
◽️◽️◽️
“Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.” -@tonyrobbins. This perfectly encapsulates why I decided to trade in my business suit for Nikes years ago. My goal for doing a 180° career change was to inspire and help others evolve into better versions of themselves, each and every day. And now I take another BIG step on this amazing journey called life. I’m so excited to finally be able to announce that I am joining @GRITBXNG as a Founding Trainer. GRIT is an experience like no other, one that is sure to disrupt the fitness industry. Boxing. Running. Strength training. All under one roof. I’m so excited to dive in head first into this amazing opportunity and I cannot WAIT for this team and I to share the GRIT experience with you all. You’ve never seen anything like this. Stay tuned for details and my new schedule! 👊🏽⚡️🍾😉🥊

  • Vegan Big Mac & Fries 🍔🍟
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Fast food LEVEL UP! 🙌🏽 Heard so many good things about @mnbvegan at @templeof.fun in Sheffield so I knew I had to pop in for some grub this weekend as I travelled through. As you can tell - it lived up to the hype... 🤤
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pictured ⤵️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Big Make 🍔 double 2oz patties with cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and big make sauce, served in a double cut black bun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tinsley Tower 🐓 southern fried chicken burger with a cheesy hash brown, salad and BBQ mustard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Okonomiyaki Loaded Fries 🍟 with chilli and garlic salted tofu, pickled radish, ginger, spring onions, fresh chilli, okonomiyaki sauce and japanese mayo, sprinkled with nori dust.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I swear the vegan alternatives are on another level these days 😍 What a time to be alive! 😁
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What's your favorite vegan diner? Looking for more recommendations... 🤔

  • Got asked yesterday "How do I do it? How do I lose 100lbs?" followed by another message or two basically detailing how large a number 100 was..⁣
⁣
My reply was simple, even if it's not exactly what that person wanted to hear (at first)⁣
⁣
'𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐥𝐛𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧𝐞' ⁣
⁣
Now don't get me wrong, I went on to explain about NEAT, moving more and eating in a deficit but I genuinely felt that this person (𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘐 𝘢𝘴𝘬𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘧 𝘐 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵) had a bigger issue..⁣
⁣
The daunting, ginormous, insurmountable (in their mind) 100lbs..⁣
⁣
Let's be honest. ⁣
If you lose one pound..⁣
And then another..⁣
And then another.. You're on the right road, you're winning..⁣
⁣
But if you only see success as that 100th pound?⁣
Well you'll be waiting a hell of a long time until you feel that same feeling.. Provided you don't become deflated and give up because "it's so far away"..⁣
⁣
Break down the task at hand..⁣
⁣
Have mini targets, be specific about them but be real too..⁣
100lbs is huge. Trust me I know, it's a fuck load of weight.⁣
⁣
And it won't just happen..⁣
⁣
Ya gotta work, ya gotta be patient.⁣
⁣
But you most definitely can. Because if this lug here did, anyone can 🤷‍♂️😂⁣
⁣
Don't set of on your journey with both your shoe's laces tied together because you'll eventually trip and fall 🤷‍♂️

  • This was my last form from Last years Legion Sports Festival in Long Beach. Boy has it been a fun ride from men's physique to classic physique. I have had the opportunity to stand on stage with several Olympians these past few years. Excited to see if I can top this last package as I start my push to bodybuilding close to the end of this year.. let's see what another 8 months to a year can bring. Just going to have fun with it and see how it shakes out. To all my young guys out there, nothing is wrong with TIME, take your time you can't rush a great physique and plus it just gives you more time to eat carrot cake😃

  • Pairing this superset together was extremely exhausting for anaerobic endurance but highly effective. In this workout I did some key things.
🔑 Targeted traps with snatch grip high pulls (Explosive)
🔑 Hit the traps again with front squats (Isometric hold)
🔑 Later in the workout after 7 rounds of boxing 🥊, hit the traps again with behind the back barbell shrugs (Strength)
If you want to build a lagging muscle group or in this case, just a more impressive yoke, target 🎯 that muscle group with an:
1. Explosive Exercise
2. Isometric Exercise
3. Strength Exercise
All in the same workout. The results are undeniable. I used 175 lbs for the high pulls, relatively light, and front Squats with 245 lbs. You want to use weight that you can rep easily. We want volume here. I did 6 x 6 with the high pulls and 6 x 3 front squats. Behind the back shrugs we’re 205 lbs for 5 x 12. 🔥
