  • ORANGE CRUSH ALERT: 🧡 This past weekend I tried @troupis_winery Hoof & Lur skin contact Moschofilero, spontaneous yeast fermented, unfiltered. This wine is amazing! There are beautiful floral notes that scream white, yellow flowers and citrus blossom. There’s also a wonderful delicate citrus component as well. I think it reminds me of tangerine. This wine is well balanced with a medium finish. I bought this for under $30 @courtliquors this is a great buy! 🧡

Sublime Cristal Brut 2008 from Louis Roederer
Just gorgeous, extremely gorgeous. Pure finesse and it leaves you with a beautiful..
* Score : 99 Point
* Drink : 2025~2060+
* Comment : Collectable
* Grpae : 60% Pinot Noir, 40% Chardonnay(36 plots in 7 grands crus)
* Winemaking : 20% vinified in oak casks, 16% underwent the malo-lactic conversion
* Ageing: 10 years (disgorged in September 2017) – the longest ever cellaring time for Cristal
* Dosage : 7.5g/l
* Vintage information
The 2008 vintage was characterised by an unusually dry and cool summer and undoubtedly falls into the ‘continental’ vintage category: dense and powerful owing to its exceptional concentration. Nevertheless, the unusually cool temperatures over the summer made their mark on the vintage, giving it a remarkable intense and saline freshness.
* Review

  • No a jak dopadla Božická výstava vín?
#tonejatovino #dikyzavsechny #bylotomocfajn

  • My favorite Cabernet Franc in the real world is Olivier Cousin’s Pur Breton. Yes, I’ve had better cab francs for terrifying sums of money, but in the real world where I make regular person money- this is the best quality to price ratio for me. ...
It tastes like blackberries and the vines they grow on, wet earth and broken rocks. It also smells like a recently slain werewolf- like a dead, stinking, mythical creature. ...
Barnyard/werewolf notes like these come from a spoilage yeast called Brettanomyces. There is no debate that it is not inherent to wine- a squeaky clean cellar and careful winemaking practices can prevent it. What is less obvious today is whether or not these flavors are delicious.
...
I actually learned that I loved the flavor of Brett in old Bordeaux and Chateauneuf-du-Pape when I was studying wine for the first time at @hiltoncollege. It’s not universal, there is definitely such a thing as too much Brett in a wine. But I can personally enjoy a lot of it.
...
Olivier Cousin has a very cool story, but stories are just icing on the cake. The wine is delicious. Maybe not for everyone, but I personally adore it. I buy as much of it every year as I can. We’ve got it at @trexhouston and @publicservicesbar by the bottle. Get some, if you’re down with black fruit and monster smells.

  • Enotrip 2019 (parte 1) - transporte🚗✈
.

Falanghina IGP Puglia “I Cinque Figli” 2018

🍇 Cabernet Sauvignon 60%, Merlot 40%⁣
⁣
♥️ Cellar Favorite⁣
⁣
The iconic Château was founded by Louis-Gaspard d’Estournel in 1811. Merchant and businessman, his travels often led him to Asia and India where he was inspired to build the unconventional Château based on several architectural styles (Château picture from @cosdestournel ). 44 years later, the Château was classified as a Second Growth.⁣
⁣
At the advice of Dominique Arangoïts, the Technical Director at the Château, the wine was decanted for two hours at a temperature of 17°C. At this point the nose revealed complex and constantly evolving aromas of earth, graphite, blackberries and mushroom. A slight gaminess developed after another half hour of decanting. ⁣
The palate was very delicate and soft, yet with some powerful fruit flavors of dark cherries, blackberries and currant. The tannins were very subtle and persisting on the finish with little to no acidity, along with a delicate graphite minerality and hints of salinity. An impressive wine, where delicacy and finesse join complexity and power.⁣

  • Little Zinfandel grape flower clusters 😋🍇#agfamily #soil #biology 🧬 .

A complete plant health drip and foliar application of our homemade Compost Teas will help us to continue the growth of beneficial microorganisms, boosting our soil biology! Not only does it increase the plants ability to access more nutrients. These compost teas will increase the plants health over all, making it easier for the plant to cure, and prevent fungal, and bacterial diseases.

  • THIS! 👉A white Rhône from Domaine Brusset - a great sunshine white enjoyed at @dalyswinebar. It’s made from a Southern Rhône white blend (Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier) and it’s got some bright tropical notes with some real weight and texture. I really liked it and it’s GREAT value. Zip in for a bottle if you’re on The Strand ✨✨✨

  • It's interesting how many vineyards with so much history are incorporating modern elements, such is the case with Château d'Yquem (although it's not surprising since they're part of LVMH).
.
.
In order:
1. Lovely reception area featuring their entire range of wines.
2. Tasting room. Very funky!
3. Medieval château which was also used as a hospital in the WW1 and 2.
4. The barrel room with the original wooden beams from 1865 (or something).
  • It's interesting how many vineyards with so much history are incorporating modern elements, such is the case with Château d'Yquem (although it's not surprising since they're part of LVMH).
