失眠的時候,總覺得自己被世界拋下了,有時候會很不甘心,憑什麼只有我獨自面對天明。

高中的時候,我每天都唸書到凌晨三點,聽著窗外鄰居的鼾聲,總是會湧起一股恨意,很想故意摔落書本,讓全世界和我一起失眠。

只可惜他們頂多翻個身,又墜入更深的夢裡,只有我每天困在失眠的地獄。

不失眠的夜晚我都做惡夢,一個晚上總要逃跑好多次、殺掉好多人,看著現實生活中的每個人都變成妖怪,輾轉到鬧鐘響起。

「欸我昨晚夢到你了。」這陣子我時不時會傳訊息給朋友,幾乎所有朋友都被我夢過一輪了。
「真的嗎,你夢到什麼?」
我很想說我夢到了過去美好的回憶,但其實我每天夢到的都是戰爭、逃殺,所有朋友都會背叛我,和主管一起朝我摔東西,想盡辦法把我分屍,或留我一個人在原地。

在夢裡看著別人被砍成好幾段,熟悉的其他人正朝我追過來。比起惡夢的話,或許失眠也很幸運吧。

  • Can you spot ME? 🐺...missing my muslim ladies...learned a lot by being their fitness coach, after Mandic, for one year...while I was raising Yana baby, of course...and keeping a house, being a cooker etc.

The best times were when I didn't had nobody to leave Yana with, so my #manducababycarrier did it's best job - baby on me, me doing aerobic for 1 hour...yes, mother endurance at it's #best...😍 Ladies were impressed, men too busy to watch football and drink beers...football is boring, but I'm starting to like discovering #local produced beers... #insomnia anyone? No, just the #fullmoonenergy 🌚

Well they got here at 6:45am right on schedule. Me on the other hand was in no state to consider meal prepping! .
Last night I had Thai food and wine. I had a small portion and decided that yes I was going to go over my calorie allowance but I wasn’t going to go all out. I was being ‘conservative’. The scary thought about this is I hit close to 3,000 calories by being good all day and ‘conservative’ at night. It makes me wonder how many calories I would have typically consumed in the past. It might be terrifying but important exercise. I kept a food diary for 3 months before I started changing what I eat. The food diary wasn’t about calories or macros but it was tracking my feelings so I think it’s time to revisit.

Anyway this morning I packed away the groceries and went back to bed. It’s now midday and I need to pull myself together, go do pull day (Arms, back and chest) have a swim and somehow make it to my work Christmas party in 7 hours. .
Dunno what I’m gunna wear yet either... so I might have to go shopping! .
7 hours... and ready, set go....

  • We all know the importance of sleep. A lack of sleep is linked to obesity and other health issues such as high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes.

A simple tip we love at Alpha Strength & Physique is to create a good sleep environment. This is one with minimal light and noise and a comfortable temperature and bedding.

The perfect sleep environment will have us falling asleep faster and staying in a deep sleep longer which can make your time spent in bed much more productive (we have an earlier post on this). Blinds, block-out curtains, a night mask, ear plugs, electronics turned off while sleeping (ones that give off light especially), a supportive mattress and pillow and appropriate sheets/blankets are just some of the possibilities to look in to.
