Just hip thrusted 225 for the first time ever & I’m feeling pretty proud of myself!! 😃 I haven’t been pushing myself as hard as I can in the gym lately because I often feel pretty weak and when my body feels weak so does my entire mindset & I end up doubting myself a lot & not going as heavy as I should be with the weights. I’m going to increase my calorie intake to hopefully make some more strength gains & get back into momentum 💯
Whether my goal is to lose body-fat or put on weight and gain mass, I train heavy and here’s what I focus on when doing so👇🏼
1️⃣ Focus on compound lifts like barbell bench press and squats (deadlifts as well but I don’t do them)
2️⃣ Stick to the 3-7 rep range with compound lifts.
3️⃣ Start with my heaviest set first on most exercises after properly warming up.
4️⃣ Depending on the exercise, I generally stick to a 6-12 rep range on heavy sets.
Most people ditch the heavy training and start to shrink. This is most effective for me when my goal is to lose body-fat since I’m giving my muscle a reason to stay as I’m burning more calories than I’m consuming on a daily basis which is the most important part 💪🏼 #naturalbodybuilding#bodybuilding#fitness#physique#aesthetic#shredded#fitnessmotivation#health#lifestyle

A tough morning on the treadmill.. Interval training for 30 minutes and 10 minutes of just solid running. At least I have found a way to make the treadmill bearable. Just add intervals. Happy Choose Day! Do more of what makes your soul shine.
Right when I saw a video of Brie Larson hip thrusting 6 plates while training for Captain Marvel I had to try it out for myself!! Way too heavy for me but I’m glad I gave it a go :-) also can we talk about this pastel gym fit? It’s lowkey too cute..
