Surprise Storm 💥
On May 13 when the sun set, the northern lights took over the sky. It was a surprise how strong the show got that night! Aurora is truly unpredictable. There’s steps you can take to increase the chances of seeing a show but it’s never a guarantee.
I get asked a lot how to predict if there will be lights or not so here’s a few of the things I do on a daily basis: 1. Check the weather forecast & cloud cover (most clouds or fog will cover up a good show) 2. Check the Aurora Forecast or Space Weather forecasts 3. Physically go out and look at the sky after it gets almost completely dark. 4. Moonlight can play a major factor, but not always, however no moon is best. Predictions can be off and the best way is to actually look up in a dark location if you can!
