  • This is a general representation of what I might eat on a given weekday when I work out. I am a creature of habit, however, and this isn’t too far off what I will eat several days during the week.

I eat less in the beginning of the day as my wife and I will *usually* plan our meal around something our 2 young boys (ages 3 and 4) will eat. It’s easier to not have to cook 2 totally separate meals. I eat whatever we’re having and pay attention to when I’m *satisfied not stuffed* and that serves me well.

We do feed our children mostly healthy food, but guess what? They eat hot dogs and mac and cheese too. #theyllbefine

What I eat may look different from someone else’s fat loss meals, and that’s perfectly fine. If you can take one idea from this graphic, I’ve done my job.

  • The stuff on the left is tempting. Slick marketing with the promise of quick & easy results is hard to resist.  But in the end it’s the stuff on the right that works💕

🤦🏻‍♂️ One of the most frustrating things about trying to lose body fat is the abundance of misinformation on “the internet” telling you what you should or shouldn’t be doing (smh).

And to make matters worse, so much of this misinformation is complete and utter BS. It’s marketing gimmicks and billions of dollars in ad spend disguised as a helping hand. That REALLY frustrates me! 🤬 And it should frustrate you too.

The good news is that I put together this infographic ☝🏼 (see above) to provide you with THE TRUTH. To provide you with real, honest, science-backed facts about what does and what doesn’t work for fat loss.

♦️There is NO DOUBT in my mind that I ate more chocolate than every single one of you over the Easter weekend, it’s not a competition, just a FACT!

♦️Do I feel sluggish... YEP
♦️Do I need to get back on track... YEP
♦️Do I regret my choices... A Little

♦️With all that said, am I internally beating myself up and calling myself all manner of horrible names... HELL NO!

♦️I have heard this quote mentioned a number of times since, however I first heard it from @mikevacanti who said something along the lines of “Treat and talk to yourself how you would talk to your best friend or loved one”

♦️If you were chatting with your best friend Julie after the Easter weekend and she was saying how she feels like a failure, hates herself and has decided to quit her fat loss program because she ate some or a TONNE of chocolate, what would you say?

♦️I HIGHLY doubt you would nod in agreement and agree that she is a loser and that she might as well give up because she has messed everything up.

♦️I’ll take a bet you would more likely tell her that she has been doing a great job so far and that this little “slip up” or “unplanned” or even if it was a planned moment will have NO impact on her long term outcome.

♦️You would go on to say that she is only human and that it was Easter and having a few or 100 chocolate eggs is absolutely allowed. Further, you would suggest she stops making such a fuss about it and gets back to doing EXACTLY what saw her make her initial progress in the first place.

♦️We say all this, we know it to be true and yet we NEVER give this advice or talk this way to ourselves!

♦️STOP beating yourself up, STOP with the vile internal language and always remember this one golden rule...

♦️You are ALWAYS just ONE meal or ONE workout away from getting right back on track!

Do you fast? Why do you fast?

I haven’t really fasted since the end of February and I’ve been trying to mentally prepare myself to start fasting again. I usually like doing 18-20 hr intermittent fasting and 72 hr fast.

My goal is to complete a 48 hr fast. I ate pretty DAMN good this past Easter weekend #CheatWeekend but I’m back on track now. Gained some water weight but it’s almost all gone. I like fasting for weight loss and energy. I kid you not, when I do my 72 hr fast; that’s when I tend to feel the most energetic and alert! For me, it’s about the mentality, I have to mentally prepare myself for an extended fast but sooo worth it 💪🏼

  • Transformation Tuesday. I lost a lot of my weight before starting keto, healthy eating and exercise... but I’m loving the progress since I began keto two weeks ago! Just wanted to share my pics...Sure I’m smiling in both pics... but the woman on the left was so unhappy in her body, uncomfortable... felt aches when getting out of the bed in the morning. The woman on the right is continuously growing to be who God called her to be. Though she’s not where she wants to be physically, her smile is more sincere. She knows who she is and knows the power within her. Never stop fighting to be who you know you are meant to be, it’s never too late to be her ❤️

  • Here’s an easy meal replacement shake recipe that doesn’t require a blender! I like to use 1.5-2 scoops of Whey protein Isolate, 3-5g of creatine, 2Tbs of PB2 and 2 Tbs of unsweetened coco powder (for extra fiber & flavor) I also add a cup of cold brew coffee for and extra boost! Feel free to mix with water or protein fortified almond milk for a thicker consistency 💪🏼 oh and of course the 5⭐️ Shaker cup adds +10 gains as well 😏😎 lol
