We rode bikes to dinner at Singlespeed tonight. A late start and small bike path detour ended up with us biking most of the way home in the dark but if it hadn’t worked out that way we would have missed this gorgeous sunset over the river. #familyadventure#iowasunset#nofilter
We have been visiting family in Iowa this past week. The farm sunsets have proven themselves movie worthy, the fireflies at dusk magical, and the locust an odd but friendly reminder of the comfort of being home. It’s been awhile since I have been here when the corn is still green since we are usually here when it’s time to harvest. But so many good memories of my childhood exist in this time of year as this is when I typically would visit my grandparents, and I am so happy to share this same experience with my own children, almost as if not a thing has changed and time has stood still. Just for a moment it feels that way... until I see the aging faces of my parents and my grandparents and the changes that are sure to come with time and change of hands of the farm. For now though, I will breath deeply and sit back while I watch the joy of my children. #farmhouse#farmlife#farmkids#iowa#iowasunset#iowalife#farm#farmhousedecor#frenchcountry#frenchcountrystyle#farmhouseliving#countryliving#countrydecor#countryhome#countrylife

Can you tell I'm bored!? A much needed break after a busy day, but I swear my creative mind never stops! Not to mention my obsession with sunsets...just played with a few sunset pics. We shall call this sunset kaleidoscope!
Being on vacation has been a blast! However I feel blessed to know my kids are excited to return to this beautiful place today. I want them to love traveling but when I think about it...my heart warms at the fact they also love to go home. May it always be home to them. 💜💚💜💚
