At @zia_michelina ‘s house in the Bronx, #Baccala is floured and fried to lock in the flavor, and then cooked in a hearty tomato sauce full of olives, potatoes, and capers, until the fried Baccala pieces are beautifully tender, or as Zia Michelina would say, “Molto beautiful, baby!” The leftover sauce is tossed with pasta, because “you no waste nothing!”

  • Our sister restaurant @stjamesseafood reopens in early January and we are so excited! In the meantime, we are highlighting some dishes by Chef Matt Kelly.

Squid ink shells, nduja, smoked octopus, and tomato come together to create rich, smoky, and dare we say damn delicious flavors. This dish will be served nightly during the month of December, so hurry on in!

Make sure to stop by @mateotapas @vinrougedurham @luckysdelinc @vinrougedurham to try out other signature @stjamesseafood plates.

  • [SHANGHAI - ⭐️Da Vittorio 😋] The original restaurant is located 60km west of Milan and rated three star for years. 
Only opened in June this year, this Shanghai branch already received one Michelin Star in September.  How their food quality is is not hard to imagine. 
Stayed in the main restaurant for more than 10 years, Stefano Bacchelli came to Shanghai as Head Chef.  The dishes are authentic Italian and towards mild side in taste.  For my favourite dish lobster linguine, unlike most other practices that use lots shrimp heads and shells to cook the sauce, chef’s style in sauce is quite light, but surprisingly brings out the freshness of the shrimps and lobster. 
Their signature pasta with tomato sauce looks simple but the taste is not what I have experienced before. It’s very light and mild but doesn’t feel the acidity and sharp palate of the tomato with great after taste. 
Other dishes including seafood and pigeon are of good quality too. 
總店是在離米籣六十公里的三星餐廳。雖然位於內陸,但餐廳出名的是海鮮類菜色。
這間餐廳今年六月才在上海開幕,九月已馬上被評為米一,菜色味道如何可想而知。
以在總店超過十年的Stefano來擔任主廚,菜式十分地道意大利風味,而且屬於很柔和細緻的味道。紅蝦意大利麵主廚沒有採取用很多蝦頭蝦殼去煮出濃濃的醬汁,反而是淡淡汁卻帶出龍蝦的鮮味,明顯的感受到主廚的功力。
招牌蕃茄醬意大利麵,看似平平無奇的蕃茄汁也是淡淡的卻回味無窮。
海鮮和白鴿也很好吃!
