today is epilepsy awareness day, which also means purple day. I am so glad that there is a day that makes people aware of epilepsy, not only do 1 in 100 people have epilepsy but 87 people are diagnosed with epilepsy everyday. I unfortunately now have up to twenty seizures a month and although it is exhausting, terrifying and gets in the way pretty much everyday; I am still living the dream. Thanks to the amazing staff I work with, paramedics, nurses, doctors and all my family & friends I am a brave girl. Anyways if you can wear any purple today I’m sure those of us that suffer with epilepsy would be extremely grateful.
