Decent class tonight. I was able to get through everything. It helps that there was only 1 other person working out so there was no one to chat with or share equipment with. Completed everything barefoot.
Started at 90 lbs (including bar) for the split jerks. Added 5 lbs each set. Ended at 110 lbs (including bar). The push presses were ok and then died off real quick. The ring dips weren't as bad. My sets went like this:
Used a purple resistance band for the ring dips.
💥📊Peak Ages and Progression of World Class Powerlifters and Olympic Weightlifters📈🏋️♀️
While these results are non indicative of each individual, as the general cannot apply to the individual and vice versa, these statistics can shed light on the longevity of each sport and how you can mentally prepare to be your best.
The researches mentioned that Olympic Weightlifters have harder competition and most competitors start at a much younger age than Powerlifters. This would explain the difference in peaking ages.
Additionally, since powerlifting is a fast growing sport, we may see these numbers change within another decade or two...
Analysis found that:
✔️Powerlifters peaked around age 35
✔️Weightlifters peaked around age 26
✔️Women peaked earlier than men
✔️Olympic lifters showed steadier long term progress than Powerlifters
✔️Women had higher rates of progression than men. ✔️Medalists made smaller increments in progress than non Medalists.
Hang snatch PR @210lbs feeling strong and fast today. Really happy with the way this weight moved. No one likes to do it but super happy I took time to lower my working weights and focus on the details of my form.

All the rambles just to tell you day three - iso chisel ✅ DONE .
Although I was told not to cause of my neck I needed a challenge and finally managed it :) #boxjumps .. #dailywod

Wanna talk about bein magical. 🦄 How about being a female learning how to get strong from the ground up, while carving her own path in a male dominated industry.
In December we decided to take a turn in my training and focus on strength. Where I want to be and the numbers I aspire to put up someday, I am far, far from. But it’s SO cool to see my hard work pay off. Throwing my own body weight over head for reps. I’ve put about 20 pounds on my jerk in the last five months. Can’t wait to see where this next year takes me.
