  • RIP🖤🙏Life is so unpredictable - we must take more time to love and be present in the lives of those we care about and tell them how much we love them everyday. May we complain less and be more grateful for living each day. My heart goes out to all the families who lost someone today. Rest In Peace Kobe and Gianna💔

  • Sometimes, when I’m swirling in a season of pain or confusion or hardship, I call in stories of those I admire who have shared about their own seasons of ongoing challenge. I think of Elizabeth Gilbert sharing about her severe depression in her early 30’s and beyond. I think about Cheryl Strayed and her impossible pain after her Mother’s death. I think about Maya Angelou and the way she alchemized all of her hurts into a healing balm through her words. I think about Tara Brach and her own trance of unworthiness. I think about Pema Chodron and her coming face-to-face with her own story of falling apart. I think about people I admire who have not figured it all out or lived simple, purely joy-filled lives and I breathe a sigh of relief.

We often forget that we are not the only ones — that we’re not the only ones who are swirling in the depths, or the only ones who are still unsure of what is next, or the only ones who continue to struggle with depression or grief or confusion in an ebbing and flowing, ongoing way. We all have stories we're carrying.

What I’ve found is that we don’t need to rid ourselves of our pain in order to live a meaningful life. Instead, we need to rid ourselves of the immense and never-ending punishment we give ourselves for feeling pain, for struggling, for not knowing it all and for never being able to reach a place that is unreachable. We need to rid ourselves of the harsh holding of our humanness.

I am committed to practicing holding all of me with as much compassion as possible. Not just the parts that feel good to share or the parts I’m proud of, but also the parts I might never want anyone to know about. The parts that I’ve deemed bad or wrong in the past. The parts I’ve had to reckon with as I grow to accept every cell of me. Even if I forget sometimes, I recommit moment by moment. I get to be imperfect at it. We all do.

May we all do the deep and challenging and necessary work of accepting all of our cells, all of our parts, all of our messy pile of humanness. May we remember everyone else is trying to do the same, moment by moment. And may we forgive ourselves for the moments we forget how un-alone we are in all of it. ✨

  • I was on a walk this afternoon when a friend shared the shocking news of the deaths of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. .
It gave me a great deal of sadness to hear of such a tragic passing. .
It is a tragedy and all the while a joy as their soul’s return to their higher eternal states of being-now continuing on to their next experience. .
I took pause, and reflected on the beauty of life and what our souls gain from this experience-to learn to love...ourselves and others. .
It’s a wonderful privilege to be on this earth 🌍 and to have five sensory experiences, and to love and be loved. .
My awareness shifted to the present moment and I took in a deep breathe and the smells of the air seemed more crisp. I looked around and saw the vibrant auric energies of nature and stood in complete awe and my heart began swelled with gratitude. .
We’re here for a very brief moment in time-cherish your experiences, the people in your life, and your soul’s journey. .
Pause, if you are able to, and look around you bringing awareness to what you see and allow yourself to feel gratitude for the experience your soul is having in this moment. .
Life is full of joy and sorrow. In this moment join me in choosing joy.

  • Yesterday I was looking for something in my old pictures and I found this. To be honest I forgot I ever I took it let alone that it still existed. It’s very hard for me to look at because my face is etched with pain, exhaustion and sadness. I took it at the peak of Mums illness. Unbeknown to me she would peacefully go a few days later. I guess I’m sharing because I want to express that it’s ok to reach complete rock bottom, for your world to feel like it’s crashing down.... even when things are so unbelievably painful you will come through the other side and shine once again! #findyourstrength #justkeepswimming #everythingsgoingtobealright #sadness #joy #positivity

  • Create your own happiness 🙌It’s not in a job, it’s not in those materialistic things, it’s not even in a relationship. It may be in a little bit of some of those but not all of them will make you fully happy. You have find the something that stands out. It could be in a hobby, or in nature, or travel. It’s what’s inside you that really creates that happiness and joy. Discover yourself and find out what it is. You owe yourself that much! Look deep cause it may surprise yourself 💖
