Tilicho Lake - The highest altitude lake in this World 🌍! #VisitNepal2020
Tilicho lake survives from the collection of glacial melt of entire northern slopes of Annapurna and Thorong La Pass. The alluring lake of Tilicho is located in Manang at an altitude of 4,919 meters. Although Tilicho is sometimes called the highest lake for its size in the world, there are lakes at higher altitude even in Nepal and larger, higher lakes in world.
Along with the serene beauty of lake, you can also observe stunning view of mountains surrounding the lake. Khangsar, Nilgiri, Muktinath peak and Tilicho are some of the peaks one can get a view of from the lake.
The lake is famous for its sheer beauty set against the dramatic range of magnificent Himalayas. Tilicho lake is all about the mesmerizing water system at such height, as no aquatic organism of lake is in record.
I was shocked back then 11 years ago, and now again. Bodies of dead are burnt here, but not only, clothes are washed, bodies of living are washed and even the dishes after meal are cleaned in the very same place the ashes of burn are disposed to the water of #bagmati river. #pashupatinathtemple#kathmandu#nepal
I come from a very normal lower middle class family. I had a very hard working father, who had seen lots and lots of misery in his life.He saw lots and lots of failure during his life.He was a very loving father as every father is & The only thing he ever wanted to see was me being successfull oneday. But he failed in that too.Poverty is not a good experience at all.I witnessed him going through depression several times. After his demise, i equaded unemployment with failure. I just didn't want to be poor. When I got a chance to as a Magician, it wasnt a choice. I had to perform a show for a very very low price and which were rejected by some other high priced Magicians.I did them all to make sure i had some money in my pocket.I worked very hard and there were many people behind me,thats what made me what I am today. The lesson he taught me was never to be afraid of failure. Success is not a good teacher,Failure makes you humble. And yet some of them still hate me and complain that the number of followers I have on Instagram and Facebook determines my success. Let me remind you my friends, life isnt all about Insta and FB. There are things worth more then those. Everything I ever wanted was to fulfill my fathers dream, to show him that I was worth a son. Nothing more than that. 😞 #mayavi#mayavisuraj#nepalimagicians#kathmandu#nepal#bw#photography#vintagephoto

These days our images live and die on our hard drives and phones. At most, we blast them out to social media but beyond that, they probably never see the light again. So I find it fun and useful to go back and revisit some of my older images. It’s a useful exercise to see what you were shooting – stylistic and subject matter, and how you’ve hopefully grown and matured as a photographer.
These images go back 6 years ago when I trekked in the Manaslu region of Nepal. I was still a bit skitish photographing people, especially asking strangers to take their picture. One way I sort of got around that was taking images of the local kids. The kids in Nepal I found to be very friendly and super curious. The first thing they would ask is to look at the back of your camera’s LCD, followed by a laugh and giggle.
"Consumo Consciente é o ato de adquirir e usar bens de consumo, alimentos e recursos naturais de forma a não exceder as necessidades. Além de ser uma questão de cidadania, as atitudes de consumo consciente ajudam a preservar o meio ambiente". Como reflexão ao dia mundial do consumo consciente, deixamos aqui registradas 2 cenas bastante marcantes dessa expedição ambiental aqui no Nepal.
The students of Interact club in association with Adhyayan foundation visited Janak Baba Aashrit Mandir, old age home at Tahachal, Kathmandu. They bought some fruits, biscuits, glucose and also a special Dashain gift for each grandma with the fund donated by the teaching and non teaching staff and the students.
The members of the club interacted with the grandmothers and also cleaned their rooms and the surrounding. The bright smile on their faces showed how much they loved the company of our wonderful students who had prepared special performances (dances and songs) for them.
A #librarian was very sad and alone in the #library one day as there was no one around for her to help. These two #chickens came through the door screeching "bouk bouk." The librarian quickly got up and gave them each 5 books. The two chickens left satisfied. Just a few minutes later the same two chickens come through the door with no books screeching "bouk bouk." The librarian once again jumped up and gave each chicken 15 books this time. The chickens leave satisfied once again. Then for the third time the chickens returned screeching "bouk bouk", but this #time being suspicious the librarian gave each chicken only one #book and explained that they could only borrow more books once that had returned the others. As the chickens left the librarian slowly followed behind to see where all the chickens and the books were going. The chickens came to a stop by a #pond and started throwing the books into the water. Appalled the librarian ran forward to tell them to stop but she suddenly noticed there were some #frogs in the pond grabbing the books and throwing them back croaking behind "red-it… red-it".
