This message is for my binge eaters:
I may not have all the answers, but I know what’s worked for me. And this tip has helped many others...so maybe it’s a starting place for you.
The idea of going on a diet felt sort of like getting sentenced to prison. Food was my comfort. And the thought of taking that comfort away was suffocating.
But I was so SICK of how I FELT. It wasn’t about looks at that point. My body felt horrible...like I had the flu all of the time. My mind was a wreck...depression and anxiety was taking a toll on my life that even medication was not alleviating.
But...I’d start a diet, and do so great all day, but come the evening I would sabotage myself. I would hold off as long as I could until I couldn’t do it anymore, and would eat myself sick.
The mindset shift:
1. Telling myself it’s not NEVER...it’s just not NOW.
2. Focusing on my WHY. Why am I wanting to lose weight? How do I want to feel? How will my life be different?
3. Asking myself the question: What do I want the MOST vs what do I want NOW (in the moment)?
Boundaries I set:
I promised myself I could eat ANYTHING I wanted, but I had to take these three steps:
1. Eat a full meal on my plan.
2. Drink an entire bottle of water.
3. Read my ‘why’ out loud.
If, after these steps, I STILL wanted to binge...I was free to do so. -
The scale isn’t always consistent. And when my focus was only on looks...and the scale went up...I felt defeated.
But when I changed my focus to how I felt, mentally AND physically, I had a consistent measure of progress.

Not complaining about my Easter dinner.
loaded bacon cheeseburger casserole.
topped it with sour cream, fresh shredded lettuce and diced dill pickle. had a few pork rinds with it.
Also made bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers. 🤤 can’t wait to eat my leftovers tomorrow.
Late lunch, early dinner... 🤷🏻♀️
It was yummeeee. Tenderloin from the porterhouse and blue cheese lettuce wedge with bacon and a splash of balsamic. 🤤
I tried another bread recipe. 🤨 no bueno. 😐

1/2 cup pine nuts
1/2 cup Parmesan, roughly grated
2 cloves garlic
2/3 cup olive oil
2 cups basil
4 cup plain flour
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup breadcrumbs
Make the pesto: Put the pine nuts into a small frying pan and toast them lightly, stirring often, until golden brown. Transfer to a food processor, along with the Parmesan, garlic, olive oil and basil. Process to a very smooth pesto then fill a syringe ready to inject the burratas.
Prepare the burrata: Fill a large saucepan halfway with vegetable oil, and heat it to 375 degrees.
Put the flour, beaten eggs and breadcrumbs into three shallow bowls. Drain the burratas and pat them dry. Use the pesto-filled syringe to inject each burrata with pesto. Be careful not to overfill and split the delicate casing.
Roll each filled cheese ball in the flour, then spoon beaten egg over it until it’s completely covered. Finally, roll it in the breadcrumbs. Put onto a plate and chill for 15 minutes.
Heat the tomato sauce and get any other serving accompaniments ready, before you start to deep-fry.
After 15 minutes of resting, use a slotted spoon to submerge the cheese in the hot oil. Fry for 1 minute, keeping a very close eye on them — the outer layer of cheese will melt quickly and split the breaded coating if they cook for too long. Once golden brown, drain on paper towels. Serve on a bed of tomato sauce and garnish with basil and Parmesan
Made @peaceloveandlowcarb ‘s sausage balls. These are SO good. I made these to as a meal prep for lunch this week. I doubled her recipe and added a little SF Primal Kitchen Steak Sauce, Worcestershire Sauce, and a little mustard. Also added a bunch of other seasonings! Can’t go wrong with these Ballz! 😉

Enjoyed a wonderful "Dunch" (meal between lunch & dinner) with my husband and kids today!! I fasted until 3 PM, knowing I was going to feast so this was my meal of the day!!
So I steared away from the saucy entrees and stuck with simple delish foods!! I had the juiciest Prime Rib with Roasted Romaine, a plate of Mixed Cheeses, Olives and Meats, then back for some more Prime Rib with Colorful Roasted Cauliflower which I could not finish!! Food baby was forming😂😂😂
It was a great day!! Hope yours was too!!
