  • Just because you’re in ketosis doesn’t mean you are losing weight. 😬The body still needs to be in a calorie deficit. Getting into ketosis just means that now your body is using its fat for fuel vs the carbs (glucose) that it was using before, however if you are still feeding it a lot of fat, the body will not be able to burn it all and you will not lose weight. Here are a few tips to starting keto.
✅ Calculate your macros. I know that there are some people that lose weight without counting and this is most likely because when you’re in ketosis your body gets full faster and stays full for a longer time due to the high fat diet. The people that don’t count calories are probably not eating too many calories to begin with
. ✅ Drink your water! You will need it while on keto and it will prevent headaches.
✅ have your veggies! These are healthy carbs and help you not get constipated while on ketosis. Plus they are healthy and the fiber will help you stay full for a longer time.
✅ Don’t eat too many “keto” processed sweet snacks. These snacks may contain an ingredient that can either kick you out of ketosis, or I’ve seen many advertise to have only 2g of net carbs when in reality they have way more. Don’t always trust these snacks. If you are losing weight with them, then keep eating them but if you aren’t, quit these snacks.
✅ Get enough sleep and stop stressing about the scale. Stress can cause cortisol levels to go up which can cause for you to not lose weight. Also when you are tired your body is known to crave more carbs. So rest up!
✅Ultimately you know your body best, so listen to it. If it’s losing weight on whatever you are doing, then keep doing your thing, but if you aren’t try adjusting one or more of these items and hopefully that helps it! 😊🙌🏻 .

INGREDIENTS 📖
-1 can full fat coconut milk
-2 capsules Probiotic-10
-½ tea spoon Xanthan Gum (1/4 tsp. split between both jars)
-2/3 cup heavy whipping cream
-Toppings of your choice
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
DIRECTIONS 
1. Stir a can of coconut milk well and empty contents into 1 or 2 containers.
2. Open probiotic capsules and add the contents to each container (or 2 capsules to 1 container).
3. Place container(s) in the oven with the oven light on for 12-24 hours. The longer it is in there, the thicker it gets. DO NOT open the oven door.
4. Once finished, place in refrigerator to cool or pour straight into a mixing bowl.
5. Add 1/2 tsp. xanthan gum to the yogurt and use a hand blender to mix well. It should thicken up after doing this.
6. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until very stiff peaks form. The consistency should be close to solid.
7. Add heavy cream to yogurt and mix on low speed until consistency desired is achieved.

  • Just popped these almond finger cookies out the oven and omg 😍 they smell like my childhood. When my Nonna had more energy she would make these cookies on Sundays before everyone would come over for lunch. Fluffy and moist with a hint of citrus, perfect for dunking in coffee. I finally was able to come up with a keto friendly version of her recipe and I'm so excited because they actually came out so right!

Recipe: 
1 1/2 cup Almond Flour
1 tbsp Guar Gum
1 Egg white
6 tbsp Softened Butter 
1 tbsp Swerve 
1 tsp Vanilla Extract 
1 tsp Almond Extract
1/2 tsp Orange 🍊 or Lemon 🍋 extract 
¼ tsp Himalayan Salt
2 tsp Cream of Tartar 
1 tsp Baking powder

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well incorporated. If your cookie dough seems to dry try adding an additional egg white.

Form dough into fingers and roll in crushed up almonds and granular swerve. 
Bake at 350f for about 18 minutes. Cookies will turn a golden brown color when they're done.

Delicious, enjoy!

    1 tsp Almond Extract
    1/2 tsp Orange 🍊 or Lemon 🍋 extract 
    ¼ tsp Himalayan Salt
    2 tsp Cream of Tartar 
    1 tsp Baking powder

    Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well incorporated. If your cookie dough seems to dry try adding an additional egg white.

    Form dough into fingers and roll in crushed up almonds and granular swerve.
    Bake at 350f for about 18 minutes. Cookies will turn a golden brown color when they're done.

    Delicious, enjoy!

  • If you make one Keto Cookie Recipe this weekend, make these soft + chewy 15 MINUTE Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip ones! They are by far one of my most popular recipes, and never disappoint. And if peanut butter’s not your thing - we’ll we definitely can’t be friends - but you could easily sub almond butter for these too!

You guys loveeed the last Lunch Box post, so here’s some more totally delicious ideas🤩 Preparing your lunch can really help you stay on track and is the best feeling :)🥗 Here’s some inspo for this new week☺️❤️

1.A wholefood lunch idea 👉 strawberries and raspberries, cucumber slices with guac, salad with romaine lettuce and seasoned shrimp 🍤

2.Pistachios😍 and fresh raspberries and snacks. With lunch Grilled courgettes with cheddar cheese cubes 🧀 with peppered salami and rocket salad.

3.Salmon lunch 👉 berries, 2 eggs and a kale salad with crispy salmon, cucumbers and tomatoes.

4.Delicious Low Carb idea: cucumber pinwheels with goat cheese and prosciutto. Not forgetting dark chocolate 🍫 steamed broccoli, and an arugula salad topped with tomatoes!

5.🍠Sweet potato gnocchi with pesto, sprouted pumpkin seeds, salmon, spring mix, sliced honeycrisp apples🍏and some dark chocolate. Pictures

  • No bake Keto chocolate PB cookies. They aren’t pretty but they sure are tasty 😋 
1 and 1/3 cup creamy PB
2 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp melted  butter
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Mix everything in a bowl. Dab spoonfuls onto parchment lined sheet and put in freezer for 20 to 30 minutes. Enjoy!

Changing your lifestyle isn’t just about what you see on the outside. Change that happens mentally, is what will set you up for long term success. Here’s a small list of things I had to change to be successful with my weight loss:⁠
1️⃣. Portions, after I started tracking, I was blown away by how much I was overeating. Snacking all day really adds up! Lol⁠
2️⃣. Reward system. I would always use food as a reward for a great day, as comfort for a bad day, something to do when I was bored. ⁠
3️⃣. Learn to say no. When I’ve hit my macros for the day, it doesn’t fit my macros, or I’m just not hungry, recognize and move along.⁠
4️⃣. Learn to find alternatives! I love the challenge of finding a healthier spin on an unhealthy fav.⁠
