Hi 👋 My name is Katey!
It's been almost 1 year since I started this page so I thought I'd reintroduce myself for my new followers!
I'm a Toronto Native living in the city with my husband and cat. My Keto journey started when I was diagnosed with PCOS just over a year ago. I had lost a significant amount of weight in previous years but was still suffering with irregularities. I was also dealing with chronic joint pain and inflamtion.
Keto has been a game changer for my overall health and I love sharing my delicious recipes with the world. I try to take the comfort foods I enjoyed in my pre-keto life and recreate them to fit my new lifestyle. I share it all for free on my blog!

4 tbsp butter
1 lb thin sliced ribeye
12 oz broccoli
20 oz riced cauliflower
3/4 cup coconut aminos or soy sauce
1 cup beef bone broth
1 tsp xanthan gum
1 tbsp ginger
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Onion powder
2 tsp Garlic powder :
In a skillet heat 2 tbsp butter and add steak. :
Season with salt, pepper, ginger, onion powder and garlic powder and cook.
Add broccoli directly to pan, with 2 tbsp butter, seasoning with salt and pepper.
Add 1/2 cup coconut aminos or soy sauce to pan. :
Heat bone broth in microwave, then add xanthan gum and 1/4 coconut aminos and whisk until combined.
Add mixture to pan with meat and stir to combine allowing mixture to heat together.
In a separate pan sauté cauliflower rice with salt and pepper. :
Serve beef & broccoli over cauliflower rice
I used frozen cauliflower rice, fresh broccoli and soy sauce because I’m almost out of coconut aminos. We try to stay away from soy products whenever possible. Xanthan gum is used to thicken the sauce instead of cornstarch or flour. You can skip this part if the thickness of the sauce doesn’t matter to you. :

So I know it’s not fall anymore but it’s never not a good time for a pumpkin scone😍 Perfect for tea tomorrow morning☺️ I just popped one out of the freezer that I made in November and let it defrost in the fridge and I have a quick grab and go breakfast in the am!! Starbucks who😆I know a lot of people think keto is expensive but I spend WAY less on groceries then I did before and I save sooo much $ since I started not eating out as much/grabbing breakfast. How about you?
Pumpkin Spice Scones
Makes 9 Scones
1 Scone:161 Calories, 15g Fat, 2g Carbs, 6g Protein
1 1⁄2 Cups almond flour
1/3 Cup Brown Swerve (or erythritol/monkfruit)
1⁄2 Tbsp baking powder
3 tsp vanilla extract
1⁄4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter, melted
1 Tbsp heavy cream
1/3 Cup powdered erythritol
1 tsp maple extract (OR vanilla extract)
2 Tbsp heavy cream
1-2 Tbsp unsweetened almond milk to thin glaze as needed
1⁄2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1. Preheat oven to 325 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl mix together almond flour, brown swerve, baking powder, and salt.
3. Mix in the egg, butter, heavy cream and extract and mix on high until smooth.
4. Separate the dough into 3 equal sized balls. Then cut the balls into 3 triangles as seen
5. Place the triangles on the parchment paper and bake for 15 mins. Allow to cool before
6. In a small bowl whisk together the glaze ingredients. Add only 1 tsp of almond milk at a time until the glaze is thin enough for a drizzle.
7. Then dip each scone in the glaze and allow to set for 5 mins. Take the remaining glaze
and drizzle that over the top!

Mi cena previo a entreno: huevos con carne, queso fresco y aguacate.
We had some leftovers to eat tonight. So I made keto taquitos! I took a half sheet of lavish bread and rolled it up with leftover taco meat and some cheese. Then I fried them seam side down in a pan with avocado oil. .
They kind of reminded me of chimichangas. When I was a teenager, I LOVED chimichangas. As I aged, you could really start to tell that I really loved them. 😂 .
Repurposing leftovers has become a thing for me. No need to be boring. .
What types of things do you do with your leftovers? Do you get weird? Or do you surprise yourself with your creative ways? .
Shrimp alfredo with zoodles! Super filling and yummy! Not too mention quick! I did 4 zucchinis spiralized, a large bowl full of shrimp and half a jar of Bertolli alfredo (4 servings or 1 C worth of alfredo). All in all, about 6 net carbs per serving.

Ten en cuenta que por muy bueno que sea el aceite si lo llevas a altas temperaturas, más allá de su punto de humeo🌪️, se oxida y se vuelve inflamatorio😖.
Los que más temperatura aguantan son el aceite de aguacate, el ghee y el aceite de coco.
As I mentioned in my last post, Ive been eating a lot of low carb ramen bowls due to my dental surgery. I mean I love these even when my diet isnt restricted because they are so versatile! You can choose any protein and any veggies you want. Im a ramen girl for life so when I switched to eating keto/low carb a few years ago I had to find a substitute for one of my fav meals. Im obsessed with the @nasoya shirataki spaghetti noddles because I think they resemble the texture of traditional noodles more than other noodle substitutes. My bowl was approximately 11g total carbs and only 200 calories! In a pot I added:
1 small zucchini-spiraled
Small handful of cauliflower rice
Boil all for about 5-10 minutes.
