Super honest post from my heart: After being in Malaysia for almost a month, all I can say is that I not only fell in love with this country, but this country has stolen my heart, especially because of the locals. For those of you who are not aware, in Malaysia, 60 percent of the population are Muslim. They are the sweetest, funniest and most kind hearted strangers I've ever met. I swear that I made such a special connection with the people here. And even though I am not Muslim, I have so much respect for the Islamic religion. I found mosques so spiritual and just listening to their call to prayer (which happens a few times a day) is very soothing.
Now more than ever, everyone should understand that Islam is a religion that crosses so many different cultures and countries. And that terrorism has no religion. We are all brothers and sisters. We should all unite and pray for this world. So, we can be kind to each other and respect our varying beliefs. Spread love, not hate. #prayfortheworld#prayfornewzealand#peacefortheworld
Why is it that it is so easy to believe how travel Instagrammers / travelers are having such a “perfect” life? All based on the still photos and Insta stories?
Photos & Insta stories are just the covers of the book, and you haven’t even read the whole book. There are some people that DO make it looks like it is perfect, but it’s absolutely not true what you see on your feed.
It only creates resentment and becoming bitter toward yourself and the person that you’re jealous of. (Although I notice that when I do share some challenges & depressing stuff, many people often become skeptical and assume that “I’m doing it for the frame.” When would it ever be enough?). Despite what you see in this picture of me, this is not the complete book. I am not always positive, happy and living a “perfect life.” I have load of shitbags with me. I don’t love myself 100% - that’s the truth. I am struggling with my depression and PTSD. I don’t have a great relationship with each Deaf people I’ve met around the world. I do have arguments with my boyfriend whom I’ve been traveling with - and that’s okay! I am learning how to have more productive solutions to certain problems, even within my own relationships. I am still learning to love and accept all the flaws that I have been hating my entire life.
So, don’t believe what you always see on the media.
There's nothing like "me time" while enjoying a relaxing view. You need to schedule in some "me time" too! Happiness is a long bubble bath observing one of the world’s seven wonders of nature. Today for international women's day, I am reflecting on the power of unity between women. The strength we possess when we align our goals together, accept each other as we are and support one another like sisters - there's nothing more powerful!
Through traveling and social media, I've met the most amazing women, strong, beautiful and talented. Women with stories of challenges and adversities, who are still moving forward and thriving. I totally love how my community of goddesses goes beyond religion, race, sexual preferences, because we all accept each other as we are. Let's be a sisterhood of people who cheer each other forward always!
Happy International women’s day today and every day, because female is the future! We are truly amazing and should never forget that. Cheers to us!

P.S. This colorful photo has a story. It was taken in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. While I was taking pictures, I met a Malay girl named Luna from Ipoh, Perak. Right away, we hit it off, took this pic together and became friends. The rest is history! Now, I have been to her hometown, visited her restaurant and even got to meet her mom and brother. People from Malaysia are the friendliest and nicest people ever. So inspiring! #internationalwomensday2019
Saying goodbye to Taiwan was hard but it was time to go. I loved the time I spent there and all of the wonderful people that I met. Learned so much about myself. Got life lessons I never thought I'd be getting. If you would've told me ten years ago what I know now, I never would have believed it. 🇹🇼
Also the flight attendant on this flight was an actual angel. Saw me falling asleep before take off, ripped open a blanket and tucked me in. 😇🛫
✨Why✨ and ✨how✨ does someone become a traveling translator? Ok, the first thing, above anything else, is that you must love languages. This is how it all starts, but the path beyond this is unique to all the traveling translators out there.
So, I interviewed some traveling translators to get an idea of the HOW, WHAT, WHEN AND MONEY MONEY MONEY TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL. All of the translators I interviewed are freelancers who travel the world. Want to find out how they started, whether they got internships, how much they earned their first job, and where they’re traveling next?
Well, check out the latest blog post in link in bio.
ALSO: I’m not a full-time freelance translator, but you don’t have to travel FULL-TIME to be a traveling translator. So you’ll see why I decided not to travel full-time and why I work at an org I have to commute to during the week. Hey, I’m still a traveling translator, just not full time. 😌 #TravelingTranslators

Day 18 of the #disneyboundchallenge is Sidekicks! Pocahontas is Will’s favorite Disney movie, so when we planned out our trip to WDW I knew I wanted to bound as Flit and Meeko went visiting Animal Kingdom. Also, Will definitely has Meekos personality 😆 #disneystyle#disneybound#flit#meeko
We ❤️ airports! Designed by architectural firm. Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners, Shanghai’s Pudong International Airport is one of the coolest airports we’ve had the privilege of visiting. Considered the 3rd busiest airport in the world and the second busiest in China, most of it’s traffic is due to international travelers.
Let’s go to the beach!
Can you guess the next destination?
Hint: The location is very popular among spring breakers during March and April! 🌴

When planning your Patagonia trip, add Ushuaia into your itinerary - has more of a resort feel than other regions & is used as a gateway to Antártica. Nicknamed “The End of the World” as it is the southernmost city in the world! #ItStartedAbroad
