Passion fills us with energy. Often our stress comes from spending too much time doing things we simply don’t enjoy. Whether it’s 5 minutes or 5 hours, start making time for your passions. #YouCanHaveSuccess

Hannah Kern - Founder of Hannah’s Happiness Project & Happiness Activist
Hannah is currently cycling from Vietnam to England raising money and awareness for four incredible charities: Crisis, Friends of the Earth, MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and War Child UK. The purpose of her mission is not solely to raise money for charity but to inspire and drive an international happiness movement; encouraging others to respect themselves, each other and our planet.
By completing this journey she is demonstrating that anyone can achieve their dreams, live outside their comfort zone and challenge societal expectations. She aims to empower young women by travelling solo through remote and notoriously challenging regions; thoroughly documenting her journey and raising key topics in discussion groups along the way.
It’s her philosophy that through altering the world’s perspective and by helping people become truly content, kinder, more compassionate decisions and actions will inevitably follow. #tedx #tedxkanke#breakingbarriers#leadership#xiss#xissranchi

PCV Steve, our Gender Coordinator for Peace Corps Liberia, and PCV Ty visited a startup business last week called Payless Pads, 2019 Orange Social Venture Prize recipient. They employ and train a small group of disadvantaged women to make reusable menstrual pads (RUMPS) that are produced under hygienic conditions and are very affordable...a kit of three which comes in a small bag only costs 150LRD (less than $1)! Since August 2019, they have pilot tested their design with about 100 women (both urban and rural) and conducted a follow-up impact study to test their products.

These days, employees expect much more than just good pay and a nice work environment. Employees don't hesitate to review and rate their company culture, policies, growth opportunities, compensation and more on employment review websites like Indeed, etc.
Employees share their experiences on these platforms publicly that can impact the reputation of their company.
Improving the employee experience is therefore key!

Sometimes you just have to accept certain people for what they are. Not because they can’t change but because you can’t change them.
Change has to come from within. They have to want it. It doesn’t just happen. Although there will be times you wish it did.
You can help. Try to understand the why behind it all. Change how you think and approach them. Don’t preach. Don’t nag. You change. You change how you handle it. Don’t let the frustration get to you. Don’t let the negativity of the situation weigh you down. Let them see there is another way. Let [email protected] make the decision for themselves.
The results may surprise you.
Much love and many blessings 🌺

The sharpest mind cannot compare to words on a page. This is why we must make a conscious effort to document stories of growth and the process of change.
It was an incredible honour to welcome several key stakeholders and institutional partners on the occasion of a lecture and book launch as part of the activities commemorating the 30th anniversary of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC). The book, " Thirty years of Deposit Insurance System in Nigeria" captures the history and growth of the NDIC as an institution as well as its activities in fulfilling it's mandate of protecting small and especially uniformed depositors. Ultimately it reaffirms the place of an effective deposit insurance framework in building financial stability in any nation. #Leadership#Economy#Development#ndic#Sustainability#depositinsurance
