So... yes... these were the new glasses I chose! 👓👓 Now I own two pairs of glasses! I think two is more than enough for I’m trying to stay clutter free! 😂
I recently renovated my kitchen and once again confirmed how simply we can live and how easy and convenient it is to only have what one really uses and or needs. We all at some point have bought unnecessary stuff...So, I decided to start a process of eliminating #clutter from my life and home in general❌❌❌ #lessismore ... The first thing I did was select the good stuff that I owned -but didn’t want to keep -and gave it to my dear friend @tinabmiami who works for @therealreal. (Contact her if you are on my same path)) I will hopefully sell the items and earn some extra cash. 😬 The other personal stuff that she could not take because the store does not sell it, I divided into two boxes: one for people I know will benefit from it and another one for a garage sale I’m planing in June! 🙀
One day at a time I will declutter my home and -hopefully-drawer by drawer I will free myself from all the unnecessary stuff I’ve been accumulating over the years! #clutterfree#organizing#youcandoit#cleanhome#homeimprovement#freedom
Some #decluttering and a #diyproject for today! Everything in the first picture is finally leaving my house today! Some items are getting donated. Others are going to family and friends. We're also still working on reducing the number of plastic bags we bring into our home. We still use them for garbage and Alex is convinced he'd lose or forget a reusable lunch box so we need to keep some plastic bags. Anyway I managed to fit 1/2 of the plastic bags in a shoebox sized box with a hole on the top. I just tightly rolled each bag and put them in the box. No waiting until the box is empty to add more, and no tangled bags! The rest of the bags will be responsibly recycled. The bags now take up less space. I was also able to clear the drawers I used for my poshmark inventory and put them in our kitchen closet. This allowed me to free up space above the fridge and in our cabinets. #minimalism#declutteryourlife#recycle#plasticbag#plasticbagstorage#minimalismgoals#simpleliving#lessismore#clutterfree#goodbyeclutter#smallapartment#smallapartmentliving
Ludwig Mies van der Rohe was a German-American architect, and he is regarded as one of the pioneers of modernist architecture.
He joined the avant-garde Bauhaus design school as their director of architecture, adopting and developing their functionalist application of simple geometric forms in the design of useful objects. He served as its last director.
He is often associated with his fondness for the aphorisms, "less is more" and "God is in the details". .
I’ve been asked a few times about my daily face/skincare routine, so I figured I would share:
1. Wash face with the @neutrogena grapefruit acne foam scrub
2. Use a cotton ball or pad and cover entire face with @thayersnatural rose witch hazel.
3. Spray @mariobadescu rose water spray all over face
4. Apply @zapzyt acne treatment gel (10% benzoyl peroxide) on any trouble (acne) areas if you have any (less is more). 5. Place small drops of @m3naturals vitamin c serum and use a face roller to rub into face.
6. Apply a heavy vitamin e cream
7. At night only- apply the Neosporin overnight renewal lip therapy
When you want to start working on your plastic waste, the best way is to first look at reducing. Where does most of your plastic waste come from (watch out: that does include your recycling bin!! Recycling sounds very nice but is not the solution). Next you have to start to find a plastic item(s) that you can avoid. Plastic bags (do you really need that extra bag to protect the berries or that extra bread bag around your lunch), toothbrushes, food wrapped in plastic (is there a plastic free alternative), items wrapped in plastic (pencils, notebook, etc etc... is there a non wrapped alternative?). Don’t get overwhelmed here. Start small. Start with one item. Just start!
Find ways to reduce your plastic waste = use less plastic.
2 weeks ago was the first time our family left for spring break. To be able to partake in the things that create memories and expand horizons is a blessing. We had great food, Beach time and fun with family.
My daughter Arianna loves lights and music she enjoys when her brothers engage with her too. Her smile is like magic. She really liked this dolphin light globe. These are so great! Everything I do is for the smiles of my children. Last year we weren't able to do this. This year we were chasing sunsets. The first day we went out the beach it was sunny during the day but overcast closer to sunset time😑. So we settled for the song of the sandpiper. The next day we were able to get our sunset. 😍 Our last full day there. For some reason it seems like the last days you'll always get what you strive for🤔.
Being able to go out as a family for our first spring break in the behemoth, or princess castle😀 is a blessing. Really it's a wheelchair van that after 7 years of saving and hustling, the down payment was breathtaking, litteraly😨. When you don't have the work history it's impossible to get a loan. And can't work a standard job because of the severity of her needs.
Ah forget about it! I look back on this as a challenge overcome and I am so grateful to all who have supported our journey.
I look forward to all the "firsts" as a family. #tbt#throwbackthursday#thankfulthursday#savesavesave # perseverance #persistance#familytime#herestofirsts#downtime#pismobeach#dunes#springbreak#cpmom#cplife#love#extendedfamily#2persontranfers#lessismore#sunset#momlife#mompreneur#grateful#cerebralpalsy#2boys1girl#lights#music#garciafamilyjourney#momof3#cpmom 💚 #familytrip#smile
Top shelf This is where I store my Tupperware. There are a few missing from the pic.
The basket on the left holds my reusable produce bags and my Nespresso recycling bags. The basket on the right holds 2 lunch boxes
When I first did my purge of the kitchen I had enough Tupperware for 3 families & now I have just enough. No more missing lids etc because I know where everything is and where it goes when not in use 🙏🏼👌🏼
Eeeeeep it’s out it’s out!! Been working tirelessly on a short film for a class project and we can finally show the world. Inspired by our fav directors, Wes Anderson and Paul Thomas Anderson. Check it out in my bio if you’d like 🙃
LESS IS MORE LOVE (purple love)
Trying to describe love simply using clumsy words is in itself an insult of it. I'm a big believer in Taoism "the way that can be named is not the right name". Meaning words and language are just substitutes and short cuts for expressing how we feel that are constantly being misinterpreted and changing and can never hope to truly grasp the emotion we actually experience. I feel like love is the perfect example of something that can never be explained, as if its too beautiful to be put into words and if it came with a description it would take away the magic of it and would probably inspire much fewer artists to try and capture it through through their craft
