  • 5 Things I’d like you to know in our relationship....⠀

1. You can say it. Whatever idea, dream, wish, fear, taboo, or silly/selfish/bad/crazy thought is presenting itself is ok. I welcome all of you, and the dark juicy thoughts are far more interesting to me than what you had for breakfast (but I’d like to know that too).

2. “Everything is figureoutable” (as @marieforleo says). I like to get 👏 things 👏 done 👏 If I didn’t believe change was possible, if I hadn’t seen it and felt it, if I didn’t have hope that things could move and change shape and be BETTER (even just a tiny bit), I would not be in this work. There is always something more we can try, and sometimes the talking and the truth telling is enough in itself.⠀
✨⠀
3. I feel all the feels....deeply....and I’ve learned to love them. Your emotions are powerful teachers, we can respect them and even if you aren’t sure how to work with them yet they will undoubtedly protect you and lead you to what is truly important to you... IF you’re willing to listen and open up to their power and strength.⠀I think our emotions are the coolest and I’d love to tell your more about that.

4. I’m human too. Flawed and imperfect, messy and chaotic, uncertain and aching for other things. Therapists and doulas are not superior humans who have all of the answers or pride themselves on judging and analyzing others...we are the ones who want to stay when it’s messy and fight like hell for the people we love. I’m not perfect but I am willing to put all of my stuff down and ready to learn from you and try and be present over and over again in hopes of something beautiful happening.⠀

5. You are enough, you deserve everything your heart is longing for, and I’m so glad you’re here. Really. Truly. I believe in you and I have so much love in my heart for you. ❤️
