It was such a beautiful moody morning after 6 hours of sleep in our tent on top of Skierfe mountain.

Watching the sunrise above the sun kissed trees while the birds sing their morning songs. This is my favorite time to be awake. The morning air still crisp, while the rising sun radiates warmth.🌄

Something about me:
Often times I’ve noticed in large groups I tend to become more quite. People immediately assume it’s because I’m shy, which isn’t 100% wrong. I do take my time opening up to new people. However, I noticed I get quite even around some of my closest friends. A lot of the time it isn’t because I’m lost in my thoughts, or just don’t want to open up. I’m quite simply because I’m observing everyone else. I’m watching and absorbing how your brain works, how you talk, how you treat the people around you, how you react to certain things, what triggers you, what makes you happy, and what your scared of most. I’m blessed with seeing so much that many others tend to over look. I see the compassion in your eyes, I notice how you light up when you talk about something you love. I feel the tension in your body when something bothers you. I see everyone’s corky moments. I see the good and the bad, the rain and the sun. Simply watching how others act gives me a better understanding on humans in general. I see all the pain in the mistakes people make. I see the rawness of your soul when you go out of your way for someone you care about. I’ve even learned a lot about myself just through watching others. I’ve learned that if you don’t have anything to add to the conversation, that’s ok. I’ve learned to listen with more compassion because we all just want to be heard. I’ve learned everyone will react differently. Most importantly I’ve learned you can assume all you want about someone but that doesn’t mean that’s the way they really are. Everyone is slightly misunderstood because we all perceive things differently.
If anything it’s something to celebrate, all of us being uniquely misunderstood.
Challenge yourself, try an go out today just observing without reacting.

Why I Hate Being Tan and Happy Bday to my Childhood bullies
I used to get bullied a lot when I was younger. Mom and Grandma were so cruel. They’d always gang up on me making fun of my skin complexion. “You look like a Rice Picker”
“Must’ve found you in the trash b/c you’re too dark to be our kid”
Honestly kind of missed getting roasted b/c that’s how Asian families show love.
Happy Birthday to Mom and Grandma. They’ve done SOO much for me and tots told them I’d be home after 2 months in Europe 😂
It’s Tuesday and I’m going on a date with my hubby!! This is a rare occurrence for us to go on an out of the house date and I’m so pumped!! What are your favourite date ideas?! Leave them below so I can get new ideas!
I don’t think this could be any sweeter if we tried.

Oh happy day!! I am honored to have my interview about @callunaevents and @lovewellplanned on @shecreatesbusiness podcast today! 🎧 Click the link in my profile to give it a listen!
I have been following Kinsey Roberts and She Creates Business since meeting her last year and was so honored when she asked me to be on the show!
Kinsey interviews inspiring women in the wedding industry who are forging their own way! I’ve been listening to it every week and have been gaining valuable insights and tips! .
My episode was supposed to focus on Being Your Brand but our conversation lead us to many places!
We talk about getting started in business, branding, growing your team, social media, and more! Kinsey is so easy to talk to and the conversation lead to many topics!

Today is such a special day for me as a wedding professional and for the podcast. Hands down, this is one of the most precious milestones I’ve reached with the show.
I’ve been following Heather Dwight and Calluna Events since we started to conceptualize the idea for Vista View Events at Open Heart Ranch back in 2016.
And I’m deeply honored to finally be able to say: Today, it’s my absolute privilege to welcome Heather to She Creates Business a Podcast for Wedding Pros to talk about Being Your Brand!
I sat in Heather’s session last year at a local conference called Rooted in the Rockies and got up the courage to introduce myself afterwards and shake her hand (Let’s be real, I have no idea what I said, I think I was just grinning from ear to ear like a complete weirdo!).
A few months ago, I FINALLY emailed Heather and asked if she wanted to be on the podcast. I literally had all fingers and toes crossed as I hit the send button!
Lucky for all of us, she said YES! You’re going to listen to this episode about 10 times, I promise you that.
How many dreams go untouched because we are scared of what others think? How many amazing creations and ideas never get shared because we are afraid of failure or to step out of the box created for us? YOU were made for great things. Maybe that's raising babies, creating a community, starting a business, writing, speaking or fill in the blank with whatever lights your heart up.
I want to hear from you, what are your biggest dreams?
📍Brooklyn Bridge, March 2017. So excited to head back to New York next week for @rikrankin art exhibit. If you’re in the area, you should come support his photography, your liver endurance, and your heart for Scottish men; and to see me(of course) 😂👏🏼🥃🏴
I have gotten so many great ideas from The book Teaching Math with Google Apps! For today’s exit ticket, I used a template I have with students name on each slide. They answered the question on paper, then used their Chromebook camera to take a photo of their work and add it to their slide. It’s SO easy to quickly check their word, and offer feedback and/or a @bitmoji sticker! Swipe 👉 for examples. I’ll be using this idea a lot! Thanks @alicekeeler!
