Все когда-то тогда, когда будет на это время, силы и возможности, а сейчас мне нужно сосредоточиться на «более важных делах». ⠀

Но жизнь, ведь, она не завтра и не через неделю, и даже не после Нового года. Жизнь - она сейчас. В данный момент, в эту самую минуту. ⠀

Давай не откладывать ее «на потом», чтобы, когда это «потом» наступит, не понять, что ты всё пропустил🙏🏻 ⠀

My heart has been warm all day as I watch my girl and her teammates support each other this morning. They cheered, they hugged, the worried when one was hurt, they shared, they played hard and they laughed.

We are just at the tween stage and no sight yet of “mean” girls. Let’s model and teach our girls to love one another and want the best for one another. ❤️

  • Do you struggle with being silly and letting loose?

The other day I was listening to a podcast (surprise, surprise lol). The conversation was about adults who struggle with perfectionism. I listened with intent, as this is a HUGE struggle of mine. To a fault.

The guest speaker mentioned that one way to break out of perfection is to go back to your roots. Go back to childhood and get silly. Play, dance around, let loose, and have fun. While this sounds great and doable for many, I came to the stark realization that I NEVER did any of those things as a kid.

For as long as I can remember, I always felt watched, judged, and embarrassed about what people thought about me. This carried on throughout my adolescence and adult life. I brought this us in therapy last week and we discussed working on and figuring out ways to break this habit.

Then something interesting happened (the universe is crazy and weird and works in the most amazing ways!). I did the sample workout of the new Barre program. Thinking it was going to be just another program. One of the FIRST things the instructor said was (something along the lines of) “move your body, allow yourself to be silly, get playful and fun. If it’s hard to do that, then work on it.” Oh I’m sorry, are you in my head?! I’m all ears and finally listening because I know the universe will put things in front of you when you need it most. It also knows what you need before you do. 
I’m taking this as a sign and I’m going to embrace the shit out of this program. It’s so easy to forget that it’s not just about the weight loss or the toning body or even weight gain, it’s about how YOU come out on the other end.

It’s about the mindset shift, the lessons learned, the gratitude for your own body and the things it can do, and the feeling you get when you allow yourself to do something scary or out of the norm. Do something to make yourself proud!

  • Looooove this! I don’t know about y’all, but sometimes my brain is reeling about my day from the minute I wake up!! A dear friend of mine got me the book “2 Minute Mornings” and it really revolutionized my life... and it is so simple!!! It starts with writing 1 thing you will let go of, 3 things your thankful for, and then 3 things to focus on for the day. Having that little list to go back to when my mind began to wander and spin was ammmmazing!!!

You all hear me go on and on about proper nutrition but aside from the obvious physical benefits of it, there is something that happens in the mind when a day comes to a close and you know that you CONSCIOUSLY decided to Choose what you could put in your body to make your vessel the absolute best it can be. It ignites power that carries over to other decision making processes in your life and creates discipline to finish what you start! #holistichealth

I went for a period of time where I only slept 3-4 hours a night. No wonder I was a mess!!! Guess what, the first two points in this post, when followed, lead to restful sleep!!! 1+1=2!!!!! It’s such simple math once we can start to get it down!

Lastly... how do we obtain all of this??? By Noticing our thoughts! Being aware of the tangents we allow our mind to go off on... noticing if we are holding onto things that have happened in the past... beginning each activity whether deciding what to eat or going into a business meeting with #intention .
.
#mindfulness and #consciousliving are a practice that take time... but taking little steps each day will help you to live each day optimally and love every minute. .
