10 Years ago vs. Now
I was 16 years old in the first picture. My hair was my biggest insecurity. At this time, I had my hair texturized and straightened, it gave me false confidence. I hadn’t yet accepted my kinky, short, frizzy 4c hair.
Two years later, my senior year of high school I had an awakening. I decided to go natural. And there began my natural hair journey and ultimately my journey to self-love and acceptance.
It’s been a beautiful ride and I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
There’s something so magical about embracing the natural and unique beauty that God has given you!
