  • I was in Chicago this last week but you wouldn’t know it. ⁣
⁣
The trip was dedicated to my other creative side project, my podcast @lanotsopodcast. It was a wildly successful event and it was wonderful to finally visit this city on beautiful, warm days. However, I didn’t think about taking pictures, editing the heck out of them, and them sharing them with the world. And you know what, I didn’t care. ⁣
⁣
There of been times when I felt so much pressure to post on my travel blog social media platforms because, well, it’s a travel blog. ⁣
⁣
But in reflection, this recent revelation had quite the impact on me. I am re-charged with energy and focus in the area of creating material for my podcast. I no longer find meaning in developing consistent material for the travel blog. That doesn’t mean it’s going away. I’m definitely keeping the website for a digital diary of my travels and will post articles and continue to share past articles with those who are interested.⁣
⁣
I’m not afraid to step out of this world and into the next. My intentions are still to share gorgeous and cool images of things that strike me in the moment. I will still bring you shots from around LA and moments that I want to share with more people than just friends and family. I follow such amazing people through this account; it’s not going anywhere because you widen my world. But this is a natural progression at this point in time and I thank you for your attention over the last three years!

  • He asked her to be his on top of the world. How could she have said anything other than “yes”?! Amazing proposal, amazing couple. Very lucky photographer! •

Thanks for always tagging along on my (jam-packed itinerary) trips that tend to require a vacation from the vacation. Here’s to another successful adventure and more to come. #Chicago

  • Definitely a hard crash to reality after a fun weekend “away.” We live in the Chicago suburbs, but we don’t get into the city nearly as much as we used to. With the fertility treatment, we weren’t able to plan a “real” trip because we weren’t sure where we would be in treatment, and I can’t go anywhere fun (read - Mexico - thanks, Zika). •

Regardless, we stayed in a beautiful hotel (even if the building across the river ruined the view a bit), ate so much good food, and actually got to talk! We caught up on the past year and everything that has happened. It seems silly, but I feel like we’re usually too tired at the end of the day to have real conversations, so two days away definitely helped us reconnect. •

Unfortunately, being where we are in treatment, I wasn’t as fun as I feel like I normally am on this type of trip. The protestors that I’m on is making me super sick and bloated and I’m an emotional mess. Fortunately, I have an amazing husband who was willing to just lay in bed and binge Schitt’s Creek with me. A lot has changed in 5 years, but his support and encouragement just keeps getting stronger ♥️ Swipe to see all of the fun!
