  • Where’s the MOST beautiful lake you’ve ever visited??
.
.
Oh WHAT a day. Guys I can’t tell you how blown away we were by some of the lakes we visited in the last 24 hours. If you haven’t thought of it already, then you SERIOUSLY need to add Trentino to your bucket list. This part of Italy is honestly DROP DEAD GORGEOUS. This was the first lake of the day and as we drove on the scenery slowly became even more spectacular and pretty much rendered the pair of us speechless. Two Irish gals, speechless?! Miracles do happen. 😂

  • Behind this door I took complete distance of the “normal world”, to see things as they really are, during the vipassana meditation for 10 days in a row. Like I said before, it was bloody intense, but it felt so so so good. 🤩True happiness, that’s what I felt at the end. And I still do. 💫
So grateful, that’s what I am. For this whole trip in India and Nepal that widely opened my door for spiritualism. Thanks to yoga, meditation, singing bowls and healing. Precisely one week I have left of this 4 month journey. 💫
I’ll soak up the sun, the wonderful nature, people and energy that I’m surrounded with, here in Nepal and India, right before I go home. Back to the Netherlands. 🤩 ~ 🇮🇳 #bodhgaya, India

  • What a great way to start the weekend! Waking up in a cabin in the woods in National Park Hoge Veluwe. Walking through a damp forest after rain. Soaking up the fresh and earthy smell, listening to birds singing and seeing the leaves rustling in the gentle breeze. Wow! Simply love forest bathing 😍.

  • 🇵🇸 Jericho is a Palestinian city in the West Bank. It is located near the Jordan River. I visited the West Bank for a day with @abrahamtours.

#Jericho is believed to be one of the oldest cities in the world. Behind me on this photo you can kind of see the excavations of Tell es-Sultan. Tell means mound. Consecutive layers of habitions build up a mound over time.

What's also interesting is the hill in the background. There's a cave there (which is now a monastery) where it is said that Jesus spent forty days and forty nights fasting and meditating during the temptation of Satan. The wilderness mentioned in the Bible is therefore supposedly very near to where I'm standing.

There are more photos to come of my day trip through the West Bank.

  • Peace, that’s what I felt while I was sitting there in the middle of this huge banyan tree. My heart was finding her slow sereen rhythm again, while my buttocks, legs and feet were feeling the ground underneath it and along the way I was observing the incredible calm energy that I felt all over my body. 🌱
So strange, but yet so safe, so peaceful and so wonderful. Apparently it’s the banyan tree where Buddha did meditation for a couple of days, right before he got enlightened at the famous Bodhi tree, next to the Mahabodhi Temple. Breathtaking isn’t? 🌱 ~ 🇮🇳 Bodhgaya, #india

  • Ready to roll!
Tomorrow the start of the tournament of the #calciostorico - Santa Maria Novella against San Giovanni. In front of the Santa Croce the teams of the 4 districts of Florence will play against each other; the finals will be played the 24th of June. Be sure to admire at the beginning of the game the historical costumes (in the colors of the districts #santamarianovella red, #sangiovanni green, #santospirito white, #santacroce blu) before they are stripped to pieces: the game is a bit violent 😄, kind of a mix between rugby and soccer, - they say - it is based on a Roman game which the soldiers played before going to war..

  • The underground system in London is one of the best we’ve seen so far (just like the MRT in Singapore). The underground comes every 2 minutes so you don’t even have to look how late they come. I love it! Which place also needs a public transportation system like London? 🚇 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  • Mijn laatste week in Zuid-Afrika was prachtig! Ik bracht hem door in de Transkei waar we werden getrakteerd op sunsets zoals deze. Hallelujah ❣️

  • As I’m on my way to the airport to fly to Italy this morning I’m more aware than ever of the misleading image that instagram can paint. I will be enjoying the good life in Italy for the upcoming days, but I haven’t shown you anything about the problems that my family and I are dealing with at the moment. At times it feels weird to carry on and pretend like everything is as normal. So a gentle reminder today to be grateful for this beautiful life, a life of both sadness and joy, darkness and light. Because of the existence of the dark parts, we learn to appreciate the light so much more. So like these lions, I encourage you to be kind to yourself and those around you this weekend & appreciate every single moment 😘
