Life can be challenging.
Life can be a roller coaster at times.
And... Life can change in an instant.
Sometimes these changes happen so fast that our minds have to catch up to the physical world around us.
It's that thought of...what happened and how did I get here?
When the changes happen so fast, it can be confusing and destabilizing. From the perspective of trauma, we might look within and even though there is so much good, we wonder if we really deserve it...or, we might look for the "negatives"...the things that support our trauma-formed, limiting beliefs.
These thoughts can maintain that heaviness associated with being exposed to trauma. That difficulty in feeling light and free...that inability to truly feel joy...to laugh. ^^ that can be SO hard.
I understand this. I have been there.
Honoring where you are at is important. Surrendering to the thought and emotion, moving through it in peace and acceptance enables for there to be some semblance of homeostasis.
Having mindful awareness of this process as we are experiencing it supports the integration of the brain and the movement to healing.
As we do the work and HEAL from within, our external world starts to shift. It has to shift to reflect our evolving state of being.
And...when this starts occurring, we can start to perceive our experiences through a different lens. We can start creating a new story of us, generating congruent emotions.
Feeling light and free becomes a more common experience and most importantly, we can experience the joy and laughter that is and has always been innately within us.
